The comparison was to the Japanese crashing planes into ships.
The reasons you provided were ridiculous, and I pointed that out. . .so you are trying to obfuscate.
I get it. I do.
I was a child once.

It's a word that means to accumulate over time.
And yet people are witnessing you consistently admit your lack of knowledge of the subject matter you are contentious about.
It is amusing.
Please go on.
Nobody ever considering Hyperdrive attacks only break SW if you accept that their breaking of SW only breaks SW because nobody thought of it in the first 30 mins of the first episode of the series. Therefore it doesn't break SW.
That is your point.

Just read through the thread again and I have finally absorbed something fairly obvious. It seems that a lot of the people who are directly or indirectly defending TLJ are motivated by a fairly substantial dislike of at least the recent body of Star Wars movies.
That's interesting. It's even defensible if you restrict your dislike to the second and third (in progress) trilogies.
But geez guys. Taking joy in the destruction of something other people love is really pretty ugly stuff. I admit I think recent "epics" like the Hunger Games or the Twilight series are mostly worthless trash. But I am not so unpleasant a person that I would really wish for a Rian Johnson equivalent to direct the next movie and have Katniss or Bella Swan do things that are inexplicably the opposite of all of the things for which they previously stood.
That kind of malice is like taking a shite on something someone else likes just because you dislike their enjoyment of a product you find unappealing.

The prequels aren't nearly as bad as tLJ. They are terrible for very different reasons.
Agreed. The prequel trilogy is terrible but has it's own style/charm in weird ways. Once people sorta accepted they were never going to live up to the real Star Wars movies and sorta began enjoying them for the spectacular mess they are, they're sorta entertaining. The term 'so bad it's good' gets thrown around a lot but the PT wanders into that territory sometimes.
The new trilogy is somehow WORSE than the prequels. There's no obvious reason they should be worse. The dialog isn't as bad, the acting isn't as bad, they look way more like genuine SW movies (less CGI, etc.) ... but the films are so utterly stillborn and charmless there's nothing enjoyable about them whatsoever.

No it wasn't.
We can address the rest after you get this very basic fact down.

That didn't happen. You were confused. I explained it.
