One of the best Roseanne episodes

Been watching through the series again and got to the episode where DJ starts whacking it.
The lines are so funny in this episode, like when Dan and Roseanne go up to DJ's room and Roseanne says "Aww he's my little boy... still has his dinosaur sheets on the bed."
And they find he's been stashing Cosmos under his bed and Roseanne said "Eww that makes me like his dealer!"

I'm fond of the one where we find out that Jackie's boyfriend has been abusing her and Dan goes over to express negative feedback. The moment where Dan grabs his coat and walks out the door you just know something is about to go down.
Everyone gives a great performance and Sara Gilbert bailing John Goodman out of jail is a scene for the ages. "Mom says we have a new daddy now."

I loved that episode too. Roseanne did such a great job portraying difficult, real life issues.

When she got out of her own way, and I am saying this for classic Roseanne and not just the modern version, it was one of the best shows on TV. Roseanne's biggest problem has always been Roseanne.
But by God when that show was on, it was on.

Great episode.
I also liked the Halloween one where Rosanne dresses up like a trucker, beard an all, and sneaks into the men's room.

my favorite part is when darlene is leaving and everyone is saying their goodbyes, and roseanne yells at dj, who is in another room, that darlene is leaving and he yells back "good."
i also love at the dinner table when darlene says she heard DJ "got caught playing with his instrument during band." and he gets pissed off because he's not in band.

I've actually been waiting for this one. Thought it was an earlier season but I'm already at season 6 and haven't seen it yet.

One of my favorite Roseanne moments was the "in the future" scene where John Goodman plays DJ well into the future, but he's batshit crazy and repeats, "They say she's the same, but she isn't the same."
That kind of writing and acting was just a cut above your ordinary sitcom.

It holds up very well. Many episodes makes me miss the 90s... much more social culture that today.
