The trope of the pregnant warrior woman is a really weird fetish for Hollywood in current day. It keeps showing up, again and again.
This movie.
Warrior Queen
Avatar Way of Water
M.I. The Final Reckoning

You mean like an open patch of old highway? Or like a delapidated small town? Or in the middle of the woods? You kidding me dude?

She's pregnant for less than 10 minutes of screen time and does no warring. She shoots a gun in an open field at nothing.

Not at all. For a huge production, you have to have a lot of infrastructure.
To do that highway scene, they’d probably have to get hotel rooms for dozens if not hundreds of people near set. For like a week.
My buddy was a background extra (for a specialist talent to be fair) that was in a movie for about 12 seconds and he got paid several grand on top of several grand was paid to fly and house him for just three days work.

CGI is far more expensive. Location shoots are nothing especially out of the city. That’s not where the money went here

Huh, the latest I’ve heard is CGI has become dirt cheap because it’s all outsourced now. Maybe that’s not true. But it’s what I’ve heard
Posted on 10/11/25 at 5:44 pm to athenslife101
It’s expensive, the teams are huge, CGI movies tend to render far more material than they need and have a ton of reshooting, long hours, extra work etc.

I know what you’re saying about location but that’s dependent on action set pieces and things like that. The reason I say most likely it wasn’t Is because of the total budget and actors fees. For example in California, where they shot, to have a big action movie the location shoot is gonna run over 90-100mil but this movie is claiming a $135 budget and there’s no way they paid and catered for that cast with $35 mil.

Take the time and read both. Then report back.

Let me help you.
I responded to someone who said Penn wouldn't act in a film unless THE MOVIE was biased against the other side.
I said Penn may do a film where THE MOVIE may not be anymore biased for one side or the other as long as HIS SINGULAR CHARACTER is protrayed in a way that either mirrors his political leanings or allows him to lampoon the other side.
Hope that helps your brain.

No, that is not even close to what you said lol.

Always amazing to see how dishonest you people are but I guess when you lie to yourself you can’t help but lie to everyone else all the time.

Holding a gun for 5 seconds and shooting into the air, and then nothing else violent happening while she's pregnant qualifies as pregnant warrior?
That doesn't feel like a low bar to you?

I watched it today and was totally unimpressed. Knew nothing going in other than my 2 most liberal leaning friends highly recommended it. Now I see why

How? It’s a pregnant woman shooting a gun. That’s the imagery being shown over and over again.
