If the John Adams opening song and credits don't get your 1776 blood flowing, nothing will.

John Adams is my all time favorite mini series. The acting, the writing, set design, everything is top notch.

Most impressive of all is they didn't try to force modern politics into it, they filmed it based on John Adams writings and experiences (with the usual dramatic license of course).

It saddens me that with today's politics we will probably never see another film/series like it. Such historical honesty will never be allowed in Hollywood again.

Thanks for the review. Despite the acclaim, I’ve never seen it. Gonna try to find it now.
