Oh absolutely. No way a place as tranquil as that stays untouched much longer.

it just looks like these people are preparing at all for a massive overtaking of that house. Which is stupid in my opinion.

Yes, I realize they had some casualties, but Rick also kept going on about how peaceful and tranquil it was. There is going to be a massacre go down there, I can just feel it.

They don't run in the comic off which the show is based. It completely changes the dynamic and not in a positive way. Apparently, the only time they can run is when the show calls for it. If they are on a highway, in the woods, walking in a neighborhood (first episode) they can only shuffle. At least be consistent.

I haven't read the whole thread but who here thinks that the black dude is actually infected with the zombie virus? He had that cut on his arm and I think he may have gotten infected when Darryl threw that zombie on top of him.

Remember, if the zombies don't kill you right away and you just get a simple bight or otherwise infected, it takes several days to die and it starts with a really high fever that burns you out.

I don't think so, but it is possible.

And the only thing the show and the comic have in common is the name of the show and some of the character's names.

I hate all these "new" characters they introduced. T-Dog is stupid and fat. Pretty much worthless. He will be dead soon (praying).

Daryl is boring. Yay. You are a badass. Yawn. We have Rick and Shane. Those are the two alpha males. We didn't need a third.

Actually the casting for Dale, Rick, Laurie, Shane, Hershel, and Glenn are all spot on for how I thought the characters in the comics would be in real life.

That all said, this show is fun for me because I honestly have no clue what is going to happen. Fat Otis? Dude was rail thin. A highschool raid?!? WTF?!?

Should be...interesting

This episode didn't do much for me. I'm not really sure how that house hasn't been found yet by a large group of zombies. Also, if Carl dies..the shite will hit the fan.

I wouldn't call Daryl an alpha male. for the most part, he kind of sits back and follows what Rick and Shane say.

Well then I guess he would be the third ranking alpha male with Rick at 1 and Shane at 2.

Still, the intorduction of these shitty new characters (why is T-Dog alive?) really fricks up the interaction between the main characters.

Well, to each his own. I like Daryl since he takes that "rogue" character status. Regardless, I don't think he lasts all too long this season. Characters like him usually end up sacrificing themselves for somebody and going down in a blaze of glory (unfortunately it will probably be for t-dog).
