When Schreiber pulled up his mask, Mrs. Midnight immediately said, "That's Nick!" - we just saw him in 13 Hours. Then, when they were driving, I said, "That's Frank in the front seat, so it's probably Ziggy driving - Oh shite! - It is Ziggy driving."

And we laughed. None of the kids have seen The Wire, although some watched The Brink (Pablo was in that, as well).

Damn - this is awfully slow for me. Just put 2 and 2 together - Nick Sobotka (Pablo Schreiber) is Ray Donovan's (Liev Schreiber) half-brother IRL.

Didn't get a chance to get my thoughts on E3 and E4 yesterday, but I actually came into work for a while today, so here goes.

Hot Shots.

This interrogation of all the foreigners from the freighter reminds me of the Bud Light No Speak English commercial.

Nicky's old lady. BOOM. Up there with tGOAT boobs ever on a TV show.

I forgot Daniels had a law degree. Dude could be making serious bank as a lawyer if he wanted to....but does he want to?

Landsman explaining the dress code to Beadie is .

NIck is bitching to Zig about work and getting hours, and all Ziggy cares about is pussy. frick I hate that bastard.

It's awesome that Jimmy feels bad about dumping the bodies on Freamon and the Bunk, but then they beast on him and already have the same information he figured out. I love the relationship the cops have with each other (well, most of them). It reminds me of me and my friends the way they always talk shite to each other.

So Clay Davis already took the dock union for 40 grand and "still has his hand out"? Holy shite. Or rather, holy sheeeeeeeeiiiiiiit.

Dee's ole lady wants it, and String is gonna give that shite to her. She's cute as hell sometimes.

I forgot how funny the whole thing was with Valchek's van getting shipped around the damn world.

Every time Frank is on screen, all I can think about is his character from 8MM.

So Valchek is making moves for a good detail using Prez's information, and he's gonna frick Burrell. I like that. As much as I hate Valchek, frick Burrell too.

Avon beasting from prison still...tells Dee to lay off the shite for a couple days, then Tilghman's package is busted and gets people sick/dead. Boss fricking move. I love Avon so much, man.

Hard Cases.

So Burrell is now promising Daniels Major? Damn. He must seriously be scared of Valchek. Dude was in the damn dog house like two days ago and put in his papers.

And Daniels gets to choose his own people. Let's get the team back together, mofos!

BOOM! There's Aimee's tits...

This motherfricker Avon is playing NBA Live in prison. And has a genius plan. Tilghman not only has the bad package, but he then gets busted. So that problem is solved for Bey. But now Avon is gonna use that info to get light sentences for himself and Dee. That's fricking brilliant. But of course, Dee is a gigantic pussy and wants no part of it. Goddammit, man. Your uncle is trying to help you, so stop being a bitch. I guess what he said in S1 was true about how he was more free in jail than he was out...

Ziggy buys a $2K jacket. Of course he does.

Avon and Levy getting A's sentence from seven down to fricking ONE? Holy shite. That's amazing. Stupid arse Dee.

The scene with Daniels and Kima both in trouble at the dinner table is pretty funny.

So why did Frank throw up? Was it because he learned that the bodies were murders and he can't stomach that? Seems like someone like him wouldn't really be phased by something like that. Maybe it's just the severity of the situation hitting home that something like that happened on one of his ships and was discovered at his dock. Who knows.

I'm really digging S2 a lot more this time around...I forgot just how much we see B&B in S2, as well as the government bureaucracy, and it's not ALL just about the docks.

NOW JOIN IN, PEOPLE!

It seems polarizing for no good reason. I admit it was jarring the first time - after seeing - primarily - West Baltimore in Season 1. However, my 2nd and 3rd watch through, it got better and better. The Bunk/Freamon interrogation scene - Boris, even the Sobotkas are extraordinarily well-acted (yes, even Ziggy).

I must conclude that those who just detest Season 2 either never rewatched it or hate white people. (I've read that only white people hate Season 2, so maybe it is self-hating white people - ).

I didn't hate it at all the first time around. But I had already known that the show focused on different aspects of B'more during each season. I imagine when it aired, people were expecting more B&B all day long, so when it was something not only different, but COMPLETELY different, it wasn't received too well.

It's kinda cool to be able to watch a show a second time, because already having seen what happens allows you to focus on other things that you might've missed or not paid much attention to the first time. The second time I watched Lost was like that as well, and I loved it just as much the second time around.

Season2 gets better and better with each watch.

I never hated it the 1st time I watched but it was just so different from S1 and seemed out the blue at the time, imo.

S1 was so awesome and got me hooked on the characters from both sides and the drug trade.

S3 Hot Shots

How did I not notice this. 2 women robbing a stash thats in a laundry basket lol

Daniels still young, got a law degree and can retire

Didnt remember that was Butchie that was supplying Tilman. Avon has a lot of reach while in jail still. Tilman should have known not to frick with him. Tilman was an a-hole anyways.

Bunk, Jimmy and Lester conversations are so natural. Jimmy had his eye on Beadie at the bar.

Lester- Negro please, you should have learned some English on the way to Merica.

I would hit Dee's girl as well String. We should have got at least some T&A

Valchek is so egotistical. I know its killin him that they got his van. Not afraid to throw his weight around, even at Burrell who is just as unlikable.

Ziggy still annoying. I would have choked him if I was Niko.

Niko's GF cute as hell too but his kid is a blabbermouth telling all their business. Reminds me of my lil one who tells her teacher everything she does on the weekend, or anyone who will listen haha

I really liked the 2nd season. Ziggy, however, has to be the dumbest person on this show. Nicky tells the dude to keep it cool and he goes and buys a $2,000 jacket? Idiot.

That SB commercial was fricking awesome.

This was pretty much my reaction, i saw Nick first, then was like sweet with Frank in there but lost my shite when i saw Ziggy. Sadly no one i was with knew why i was so excited

One thing I've noticed on a season 2 rewatch is how Ziggy and Valchek seem to be mirror images of each other. They are both primary antagonists for the season, they are both more or less tolerated/despised by their peers, and they are both motivated primarily by their insecurities. I'd say more, but I don't want to get all spoilerific about the end of the season.

While I can see this - a little - Ziggy is much closer to Prez from Season 1 - riding on the family's coattails. Not really competent. Obviously, Valchek has played the game well enough to rise to quite a high level himself. That could never happen for Ziggy - it's just not in him.

If anything, Frank is Valchek with a better heart.

Yeah, and I love how Omar lets it happen because he knows how much easier it will be to rob two women.

Also crazy that if it's that easy to recognize what's happening, you'd think they would've been robbed before now.

Yeah, I thought Butchie was later in the series as well.

And Tilghman was fricking with Avon/Wee Bey because of Bey killing one of his relatives. It's not like it was random. But I guess yeah he should've been a little smarter with it though. he should know that Avon has reach, even from prison.

Burrell promising Daniels a slot again, where have I heard this before. Daniels giving it to him though.

Calling Jimmy Gilligan lmao. Going into the hood looking for Omar not even worrying about the drugs. Does not give a frick at all, cool as white boy.

Bunk is such an old school playa, chilling in the car with Beadie and Lester smoking his cigar. Like how the frick you get to be police.

Rawls don’t change at all, he wants his numbers and still an arse, lol. That MF’r keeps growing on me.

Officer Reynold knows the game, knew Levy and Avon was full of shite but couldn’t stop him from getting out. String's mind is on his education but he be looking down on the dudes under him.

Bitches be tripping(Kima and Daniels wife)

Ziggy is a useless frick but Get Your Dick out my Computer!! hahahaha

Those tits, those tits, those tits of Aimee…. My my my

I think its a lil bit everything you said. He knew the police will be really up in his arse now instead of just Valchek fighting him over the church window.

I think he was a tough guy - on the outside. I mean, that work tends to draw tough, no nonsense guys. He also doesn't see himself as a bad guy. He's sees himself as "Robin Hood" at worst, and perhaps even truly a good guy.

He had a bad feeling about the can as it is. The fact that he ordered the can be "lost" in the stacks. If someone had checked, maybe they would have lived. His uncertainty and the truly negative outcome has sickened him - either as a decent person at heart, or the realization he's full of shite and no better than a murderer himself.

Either way, I took his reaction as sincere. He goes into damage control, but he is not nearly as concerned about himself as he is about Ziggy and Nick or the work he has done for the union, the future of the docks, etc.

the latter + a real police presence

i think frank knows he's fricked at this point and just wants to hold on long enough, personally, to get the dredging approved
