i said that
the prison or the farm WAS stagnant. this season not being stagnant is bringing a lot more energy on the screen and people are responding
the biggest issue with the presentation/material is just repetition. it does seem to be doing a better job this season (What little i've seen) of moving things forward

without any key points being left out. as it is, there's alot of padding in between zombie kills...
The show is not about killing zombies.

unfortunately they do not want to outpace the comics from which the show is based.
Unlike the issues that GOT will be introduced to shortly

i was about to read the comics, but i decided to wait 'til the show runs its course.

the way they're presenting is much more kinetic, though. individually people aren't doing very much, but if you split up that minimal movement with 4-5 tangents, it gives the impression of a lot going on
still going faster than sitting at the prison for 2+ years

well, those pesky zombies sure do get in the way, then....
i get it...but the pace has become so glacial that walkers getting blasted are what's now filling the void...

once again, the pace has to be intentionally slow to prevent the show from getting caught up with the source material.

I'm seeing some people posting this on Facebook and I'm not sure I understand this line of thinking.

well other than the fact that we already had one "kid death" in the series, this was a bit of a dramatic way to do it

that doesn't mean that it isn't a valid criticism of the show
