I'm glad Blake's guy won. He's the most genuine judge of all of them, to me. Christina should be booted and replaced. I like Adam, but he shouldn't have played with the pig and gotten muddy. I just don't get Cee lo. He's just strange to me and I don't really trust his opinions too much since he doesn't impress me, himself.

Blake is definitely my favorite judge. I was already a Blake shelton fan before he was ever on the voice though.

Christina really wasn't that bad last season. But something was seriously wrong this year. She was miserable to watch and listen to on almost every episode. I'm not sure what was wrong. Seems like her ego got in the way this year. If they were to get rid of her, I would hope they brought in a more humble type of judge. She almost seemed like she didn't want to be bothered with the demands of this competition.

Adam is pretty good on the show. He is the most consistent of the judges I feel. He seems to actually care about his team and wants to help. Unfortunate that he got himself into a continuous bicker fest with Christina but I do enjoy his commentary and judging on the show.

You are absolutely correct about cee lo. I don't think he really brings anything to the table. He rambles on every show without saying anything of any substance. They can do better than him. Plus I don't like any of his music to begin with.

The show took a step back this season. I feel like this show needs to redeem itself big time next year to keep people interested. The talent needs to improve. This was weak overall this season. The best part is the blind auditions. I am not that big of a fan of the battle rounds though. I would rather contestants sing alone and then judged and not head to head like that. I also think the "team" part of the competition should end earlier. This process punishes members of a "strong" team because you could end up knocking someone off that is world's better than the competing team's winner and deserves a chance at finals.

Because the point of this show and any singing competition show should be to find the best singer, not one that outlasted the other on their subjective teams.

I taped it on the dvr in the kitchen and not on any other dvrs in the house. Ceiling is being changed out in the kitchen. TV is all covered up in plastic with the rest of the appliances and walls. I forgot to tape it on the dvr in another room. I have AI taped on 4 dvrs every season, so at least I won't miss that. I didn't like the voice enough to tape it anywhere else.
i thought you taped it on the vcr i was making a bad joke you ruined it for me

Ha! I'm too depressed over what my kitchen looks like to get it, though I read it a few times and wasn't altogether certain whether you were serious. I thought you were making fun of my grammar. I should have said "the tv on which I taped it" rather than "the tv I taped it on".

Does he ever! He can talk for a long long time and say absolutely nothing and the worst part is that he will repeat himself and still say absolutely nothing. I think he's full of himself and I can't understand why. He looks like pimp. I usually ff'd through is speeches.

2 episodes ago, he was rambling on so much. I stopped paying attention and was reading a magazine article. I looked up and noticed he was still going on. I rewound the DVR and he literally talked 4 whole minutes straight. No breaks. Just continued on and on.

That was ridiculous. shelton talks the least IMO but always ends up actually giving pretty solid analysis/judgement. Cee lo needs to learn that less is more.

I remember that. I think it was when he was deciding who he was sending home one night, maybe. Anyway, he's one reason why I'd have the show on, but would lose interest and my mind would wander or I'd start reading etc...

On to AI. I'll probably have to watch it on tape, but I'll be around after I watch or during if I'm not too far behind y'all.

Jackson 5 thing was cool, and was the best performance of the night for me.

Flo Rida and Juliet was meh, but I didn't listen to a lot of it.

Bittersweet Symphony was awful I thought.

Hall and Oates was meh as well.

Superstition was borderline atrocious. Watching that made me mad all over again that Chessa was allowed to go as far as she did. She shouldn't have been on the show at all.

With a Little help From My Friends was just okay, and reminded me again of how terrible Raelynn is.

Was it just me, or did Juliet suck at just about everything she did last night?

Go Your Own Way was meh...Tony just isn't really impressive at all.

Bieber was whatever...I skipped most of that.

Christina, what the frick are you wearing? You look like an idiot and I still want to legit fight you.

As for the results, Tony should've been last, but I'm glad Chris Mann wasn't. I honestly figured it would come down to Tony and Juliet and she would win, but I'm glad it was between her and Jermaine, and I was glad to see Jermaine win..last night he brought it more than anyone by a lot. I really am surprised, though, that he beat out Juliet in the voting...I wonder if Alicia Keys told all her fans to vote for him.

Also, making him sing at the end of the show was one of the most awkward things they've done. That was hard to listen to at times...just let him be happy and enjoy his moment with his friends/family. I'll give him credit for keeping up with the song here and there though.

Also, one hour show next time. Tops. Could even be 30 minutes.

I'll watch it tomorrow on On Demand, maybe. Problem is you can't ff when you see it there.

If you can't FFWD, then don't watch it. I can't imagine having to actually sit through that whole show last night.

Pretty much right on with my thoughts

- The Jackson 5 cover was cool. All those guys sounded really good and worked well together
- Florida and Julliette was meh. Florida not singing at all makes the show look ridiculous IMO
- The Bittersweet Symphony cover was really bad. I think it showed the trouble that Chris will have trying to branch out as he didn't even sound good on it. Lindsay sucks
- I found it strange they made Jermaine sing background for Hall and Oates when the whole show they have been doing the "you are not a background singer anymore" thing
- I stopped watching the Superstition cover
- With a Little Help from My Friends was all over the place.
- Julliette really was not good these past 2 shows after killing it all season. Shitting the bed in the 4th quarter is never good
- Tony is Tony. He is the guy that advances too far based on America's votes. Happens on every one of these shows
- Justin Bieber helps reinforce my solid theory that American teenage girls are collectively the stupidest group of humans on the face of the planet
- Lady Antebellum was off as well and I usually like them. That was disappointing for me
- Christina needs to wear pants. I threw up in my mouth a little when she got on stage
- Can't really argue with the results. Jermaine was solid all season and killed it the last 2 nights. Congrats to him because he seems like a really good guy

That's laughable. 95% of the time, all Blake ever says is "That was awesome...you're awesome. Awesome." That's it.

My comments about the judges are not just from the comments when they are sitting on the panel but also in the coach sessions. It seemed to me that Blake would give direction in the parts they showed. He also was one of the rare ones to tell it like it is to a few contestants that actually had poor performances. When it comes to judges it's Adam and Blake with cee lo third and Christina at rock bottom.

That definitely was awkward what was taking place on stage after he was named the winner.

But I disagree with not wanting them to sing at the end. I think it provides a great moment to sing when you win and then receive all the congrats after. There have been some truly special moments on another singing show when the singer would sing after revealed the winner. I guess it is just a matter of opinion. I just think it provides the stage for a great moment.

You are spot on here. That was just a microcosm of the season to me. It revealed once again that overall song choices for these singers has been poor.
These shows are based on two things. 1. Talent 2. Song choice. You can have all the talent in the world but the wrong song could expose your weaknesses and kill you week to week. I think bad song choices killed many of the contestants this year earlier than it should have.

That's fine, but let him celebrate with his family and friends afterwards then. If he's gonna perform, just keep him on the stage to perform. Hugging everyone he sees for 15 seconds every other line of the song is distracting and awkward as frick.

I'll forever think that Juliet would've won had she done a Joplin song. If she sang Mercedez Benz a capella, she wins running away. Joplin's songs were all about her "sound." Free Bird is all about the music (especially the guitar). Singing Free Bird killed her IMO.
