I thought they would write her out. Gonna be a difficult transition.

I think it's probably the third best one. There are some flaws, sure, but it was really fun. It tried too hard at times, but it had great moments. It was a fresh story for the most part unlike TFA. You actually care about characters unlike Rogue One.

I have one flaw with it: what the frick was the leia pulling herself back into the ship shite? Kind of weird but I can get past it. Other than that, this movie really created a good storyline that connected Rey and Kylo, which ultimately will lead to a good finish of the trilogy.

Leia not dying was sort of laughable. The light speed jump through a ship that somehow killed no major characters was a huge narrative convenience. I can go on. It had flaws. But I would say it's mostly a triumph.

Oh and the first order wasn't scanning for transports or small ships of any kind? What?!?!

All I see in this thread is nitpicking a-holes that are the ones who scream “Disney is running my precious starwars.”

No, they’re not. They are giving you more, and more is all I wanted as a kid growing up and now I’m getting it, and it’s fantastic.

I don't think it's wrong to want more Star Wars. I also don't think it's wrong for people to want the new Star Wars movies we get to be good. The franchise isn't immune to criticism.

I’m pretty sure they said the transport ships were cloaked until the thief betrayed them

1. No damn clue as to Snoke's background. Really? VERY disappointing.

2. I'm not exactly a big fan of the SKywalker family drama. Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back were damn good movies all the way up until The I am your father moment when we didn't know all of that stuff. Reviews were critical of the Skywalker drama at the time.

3. I don't buy for one second that Rey's parents were junkers or drunks. Someone knows who they really are. I think Kylo was trying to hurt her.

4. So now we have two force users who have not been properly trained and all the masters on both sides of the force are dead. Ok.

Wrong. Fundamentally they shifted tone way too much to try to appeal to everyone, the bad guys are the biggest idiots in the galaxy, your new hero is relegated to Lando status for the last act, and the old hero is a COMPLETELY different person. These are not small problems.

Since when is cloaking ships a thing in Star Wars? Did they get the tech from the Klingons?

He stayed on Ach To like a little bitch
which is a good representation of his character from the original trilogy. He was always a whiny character. So, this fits pretty well, imo.
