The biggest wtf moment for me was when Rey healed the snake thing.

I don’t take any of the Star Wars movies too seriously so I can overlook some of the other silly things.

You have 2 really good movies out of 9 and 1 really bad one. The others I’ll say are entertaining enough to rewatch, nothing great.

JJ had an impossible task with this movie which was to right the wrongs of TLJ and wrap up not just just the ST but the entire Skywalker Saga. I don’t know that anybody, even Lucas, could stick the landing. And JJ didn’t come close.

TROS was shameless in its fan service (although the Wedge cameo was a nice surprise) and most of the time was a convoluted mess. Better than TLJ? Absolutely. Better than TFA? No.

Another poster talked about the lack of world building in the ST and I couldn’t agree more. How did Palpatine survive? Why did he create Snoke and stay in hiding? How did he get the resources (and the crews) to construct an entire fleet of Star Destroyers with Death Star cannons? If Palpatine could always use force lightning to disable ships, why didn’t he ever use that against the Rebels/Resistance before? What exactly changed that people actually showed up to help the Resistance this time as opposed to immediately following TLJ when Poe said no one answered their call for help? Since when have Jedi had healing power?

There are plenty of other questions this movie (and the ST as a whole) raised that it didn’t attempt to answer. All in all, TROS was enjoyable at times, but ultimately a big mess.

Why would it wreck his plans? Because it did wreck his plans so that’s why. Wouldn’t it have been easier to order Kylo and Pride to bring her in alive than tell Kylo to go kill her? It doesn’t make sense especially when he already knew Kylo’s original plan was to kill him.

Not just healing power. Ben resurrected a dead Rey.

The film just creates this "life force" currency and apparently anyone literate with the Force can transfer to whomever they want. None of it is explained and none of it makes sense.

The film did not need Palpatine at all. I can't believe they didn't explain how he survived. The whole audience cheered when Reylo kissed then were in shock when he just died. He needed to live and travel the galaxy alone repenting for his sins with good deeds. Instead, the last Skywalker is dead. Title also makes no sense.

How did the First Order have 1000 ships connected to one when they saw how that worked out for the Trade Federation. Lazy ending.

It makes sense, could be referring to Kylo’s rise back to the light. Or it could be referring to Rey being named Skywalker at the end (earning the name she adopted the light side thanks to the Skywalkers and they trained her so it was like they were her parents throughout the journey)

The movie was much better than I thought it would be. JK didn’t have a lot to work with it but he patched up elements of the last movie. The spoiler script was pretty accurate but it was acted out much better than what was on paper. Given Rey’s experience it was no wonder she wanted to change her name.

All the white guys weren’t evil and she was helped by more than one man along the way. Other than two women kissing in a crowd scene at the end I don’t see what there is to complain about.

It is easily a 7/10 movie and certainly as good as the McGregor trilogy ones and possibly on par with the Empire Strikes Back.

It is probably for the best that we don’t know how Palpatine survived and where all his followers and ships came from without the benefit of a tax base.

This movie is a mess.

As a lot of people have said, they just invented things. The whole bringing people back from the dead thing? Where did that come from?

They presented it like Finn had a love interest with three different characters and never came around to that. I still don't know why he existed. The pacing was not great. I am just so baffled by so many things.

I went in knowing the leaks so I knew what was ahead.

I haven’t changed my mind about how much I hated bringing back Palps, his retarded death scene and Rey being his grandchild. None of it worked for me.

It’s a very busy, choppy movie. There were some good things I liked, some fun scenes. The several blatant frick you’s to Rian Johnson that JJ put in there. Loved how Rey killed those emperor guards by redirecting blaster bolts and stuff that was cool.

But too many times she’s come across as having God mode activated. The introduction of force healing, just like light speed kamikaze, presents many backwards questions throughout all the movies now.

I’ll never get over how lame the Emperor dies. Just so stupid and dumb, turn your fricking lightning off Palps. Dude just blasted 1000s of ships out of the sky then goes out like that? Come on

There also was a lack of rousing music, no classic Falcon vs Tie fighter music scene or chase.

It’s also sad when a new droid and a Baba Frick outshine the other human characters added.

The ending of having a big aerial battle while a ground team takes out a key objective is overplayed too. Let’s come up with a different endgame fellas.

Just too busy and negates the OT and all that Luke/Anakin did against the Emperor. It’s better than TLJ for sure, but I’d rate this trilogy as a whole beneath the Prequel trilogy. Just no cohesion between any of the 3 films, and you can blame all of it on Rian Johnson for that. JJ tried to come back down 28-3 but he still lost the game.

It’s noted in the prequels about the power to cheat death. Since Kylo technically had Palps inside his head not Snoke’s Kylo may have learned this power from Palpatine

Also, anybody else find old Lando creepy AF in his last conversation?

That chick goes “I don’t know where I come from.” Then Lando gets this old man I’m gonna rape you look on his face and says “let’s find out” I laughed out loud when everybody else was silent, just found that so creepy and funny

Lol, this is funny. In my theater, everyone was quiet except for a very audible "oh for fricks sake."

How has no one brought up that it's strongly hinted multiple times that Finn is force sensitive? Also, Kylo easily bested Rey in battle yet Palpatine throws him like a rag doll and yet is killed by the weaker Rey.

We've seen 100s of Jedi in the films and none had healing powers. Suddenly, these two do. Meanwhile, the Chosen One who was burned alive didn't get these powers. Also, wasn't Luke's death supposed to "inspire and light a spark"? No one seemed interested in rebeling for the whole year since that event happened.

My god that movie was so bad. Just so awful.

They had the audacity to bring Anakin in to tell Rey to “balance the force like I did”. Too bad these movies completely undid you balancing the force. Surprise, there is still an entire planet of Sith.

It's one thing to die but his body should have exploded on the Death Star. Same goes for the throne room. Not only did it blow up, but it landed on a planet relatively intact.

Luke gave up on Ben because he had too much Vader in him. Meanwhile, he knew Rey was a Palpatine the whole time but had no issues training her.

They deleted a scene where Lando explains that he's been there for 30 years after his daughter was kidnapped by the First Order. They should have kept it in because instead of it looking like he realizes she's his daughter, it makes him look like a creepy old man hitting on her.
