Holy shite, that was powerful.

It was a slow burn, but once he got in full costume and left the apartment, it was fricking unbelievable.

I read the other day where someone said, (maybe it was Todd Phillips) that comic book adaptations are today's Shakespeare. You don't go to a play and say, "Holy frick. They're re-doing Hamlet? AGAIN?!"

Heath Ledger is still my favorite version, but this was the most sympathetic take on the character I've ever seen.

Wow, I’m gonna have to sleep on this one. I thought it was kinda boring until the last 25 min. Then it really takes a dark turn, but it’s so good if you don’t disturb easily. Perfect ending. That red suit and make-up is going to dominate Halloween this year guaranteed

The one thing I wasn't expecting was the age gap between Arthur and Bruce. He's got 25 years on the kid.

Doesnt change anything

At the end when he’s laughing in the psyche ward and says “im thinking of a funny joke” and it cuts to Bruce. You think that’s when he decides he wants to kill Bruce Wayne? Or is it not until he becomes Batman?

Personally? Neither. I think that's when he gives into the psychosis and kills the therapist.

He doesn't necessarily know that Thomas & Martha are dead.

My jaw was on the floor the entire movie. OMG so awesome. It was truly a character study like Phillips said.

It’s not really that violent. I saw Rambo today and it’s not even close to that. I think it’s just a couple scenes that in today’s climate are taboo to show and they’re going to rub some people the wrong way

Holy shite. That was fricking fantastic. By far the best adaptation of Joker I have ever seen.

Just go ahead and give JP the Oscar. He clearly deserves it. You guys are going to love this

The execution of DeNiro with the gun shot to the head on live television right after talking about how murder is funny is going to bother people, it was a perfect scene though. Also, the murder of Thomas Wayne at the end. I for one didn’t think the stabbing scene against his ex co-worker in his apt was that bad though

His monologue is what’s going to trigger some folks.

He was just an abused man with mental issues.

The people who rallied behind him are synonymous with Antifa.

Wayne and the Wall Street guys are synonymous with Trump and the “1%”.

I did appreciate the “comedy is subjective” line given that the very people who are going to trash this movie are the very reason why Todd Phillips left comedy to make it.
