So, we either assume that 1. Tony did find him, and therefore Isaiah had his contact information and could have gotten ahold of him, or 2. Isaiah hates his own neighbors so much that he never got involved in stopping crime in his own area.

3. He was in hiding and so did not want to draw attention to himself. Also, he was a bitter old man. There is no reason to think he would be involved. It’s a ridiculous complaint.

But hey, let's take the completely ridiculous stance that he can't possibly get anywhere on his own because...poor and black?

I will try to dumb this down even more.

3 hour drive - 1 hr battle = 2 hours late

If he didn't get involved, he's a pathetic loser. Since that isn't what they're going for, his lack of involvement makes no sense.

He easily could have made it to that battle if he wanted to do his part to keep himself from dying.

Why exactly? He’s a pathetic loser if he isn’t a neighborhood vigilante?

If you have the power of Captain America, and don't use it to help people, yes. You're a pathetic loser. Maybe not vigilante level, but simply keeping yourself out of any interaction that would help anyone ever? Total loser.

He has used it. Then he was imprisoned for 30 years and experimented on. It’s not a surprise he is laying low now. I don’t agree with him or his worldview, at all, and thankfully neither does the show, but laying low after all that doesn’t make him a pathetic loser.

Now that I've watched the season finale, this makes even less sense. Laying low clearly isn't an option anymore. Now the whole dang world knows about him and he's in a museum. If he wanted to "lay low," he doesn't even let Sam take him there.
