Audrey wasn't going on the block because Vanessa is a lesbian and she didn't want to send the transgender home because of the message it would send to the gay community.
Audrey caused the fight this morning. Audrey was dancing in the HOH room when Austin and Vanessa went looking for Jeff. She was laying in the HOH bed waiting on Vanessa to report back. She is planting seeds, and Vanessa believes her even when she knows she's full of shite. Like I said, Vanessa was scheming with her yesterday. Not even two weeks back, Audrey threw her arse under the bus. She has reasons to doubt Audrey, but she allows her to control her emotions.
I think it's too late for Jeff, but I still think it's dumb that one must start a fight now to put someone on the block. Just do it.

But that's the whole point. By fabricating a reason, Vanessa comes out looking better to the people in the house (or at least justified in her actions) as opposed to seriously calculating about who she gets rid of. It's annoying but extremely effective to minimize fallout on backdooring someone.

I probably wouldn't go that far; but I concur with the general sentiment.

Shelli's entirely too animated.

No, Audrey wasn't going on the block because she wasn't part of Jeff's alliance. There are clearly two alliances in the house, and Van's alliance made the decision to take out someone from the other side. That decision was made after Van and Austin won duel HoH by Van, Austin, Clay, Shelli, Julai and Liz (Audrey isn't even in that real alliance, only the fake one with Audrey, Clay, Shelli, and Van (I can't remember if Liz is in that one or not)). The only reason Van initally asked Audrey to come up there was to help her figure out a way to blow Jeff's game up (which she told Shelli and maybe Clay that she was going to do. because she couldn't figure out a way on her own)

This I agree with. Van was flipping out last night because she thought she had to have a public fight with Jeff so she would get more blood on her hands. All she really had to do was say at the noms that Jeff had been talking to too many people (which everyone is well aware of, even in his own group) and she heard too many things about him and felt he was bad for her game.
But I guess it may have worked out better since now everyone thinks Audrey is pulling her strings so they'll continue to targeting Audrey. But I agree the drama wasn't needed.

What's funny is Jeff, Jason, and Meg have no idea what is really going on with the other alliance.

Audrey's going to survive another week

Audrey will survive until there is a double eviction and she can be kicked out without having a chance to blow up Van's alliance. She has already told Clay and Shelli that.
ETA: Unless someone outside of their alliance puts Audrey up, then she could go.

I understand what you're saying about the nominations. Vanessa wanted Audrey to win veto. When Johnny Mac won, she panicked because she was going to have to make a move by not putting Audrey up. If the other side wins HOH, Vanessa and Austin are targets along with Audrey, Clay and Shelli.
I fail to see how the fight was brilliant. It has controlled her game talk today and the more she tells the story, the more it seems like she had a purpose for confronting him.

Jeff has picked on that too.

I 100% agree with you on this. My point is that Audrey was never pulling the strings which is what you stated. Van was definitely flipping out when Audrey nor Austin one POV. She was getting so paranoid as HoH that she truly thought Clay was a twin (which is nuts). But the overall plan which started before BoB noms was brilliant because it assured that one of Jeff, James, or Jason was always going home.

I misstated that point. Audrey is controlling Vanessa's social game and not necessarily the direction of her HOH. Vanessa had two altercations yesterday, both of them were directly caused by Audrey and both times Audrey used lies and persuasion to cause drama.
What I couldn't understand is that Vanessa called Meg a liar for overreacting and crying, the exact same things she ended up doing by confronting Jeff.

First she technically she didn't call Meg a liar, she stated that she thought that both Meg and Audrey could've been telling the truth. Second, the whole point of the Van, Meg, Audrey meeting was staged by Van and her alliance to convince the rest of the house that in her mind the accusations against Audrey could be misconstrued, which is what she did. Now the whole house thinks Audrey was able to put a bit of doubt in Van's head that maybe Audrey was being wrongfully accused.

Completely agree
Also, JMac in the DR this episode is greater than usual. He is by far my favorite HG

When Meg left the room, Vanessa was saying that she slammed the door and the way she acted made her think she was lying. She said this when Audrey left the room as well.
How is protecting Audrey good for Vanessa? The house is going to see Audrey is driving Vanessa to start fights. I don't see how that is good for Vanessa's game.

She did, but that was her just getting paranoid or something (which she was doing all night). But she then said afterwards multiple times to multiple people that they both could've been telling the truth.
I do agree that Van is biased in how she views Audrey because she is gay. She is definitely forgetting what Audrey did to her early on in the game.

Because everyone will be targeting Audrey and not Van. She is keeping a bigger target than herself in the game. That is always a good move, especially if that target isn't going to target her later. Van now has the numbers against the other alliance, and the odds that they can put Van up on BoB twice (because the first time Audrey will be the target for the other side), and her losing and get put up for eviction twice is very unlikely.
