Vanessa just went to Shelli and Clay (with julia's blessing) and told them Julia told her the truth, Vanessa wants an alliance with Liz and Julia, and Clay and Shelli.

The best thing Julia could've done is tell Vanessa so she can help her do damage control (especially since Vanessa is a professional people reader and lair). She be able to coach the twins on how to best coverup their "tells" (which she has already started doing).
But trusting Shelli and Clay is a definite gamble (especially Clay). Those two seem to be going along with all sides of the house. But if they will stick with Van's purposes alliance, it'll be the best move Shelli and Clay can make, and they can do some real work in the house.

While these HGs are playing the best game in a few seasons, I wish CBS would ditch the "expected the unexpected" BS. Let them play. So far, the unexpected twists have been worthless and expected. They've had no impact on the game and get in the way of it being fair. I know that production controls the game, I just wish they would limit the interference for once. With the characters in place this season, it would help the game.

Watching the live feeds right now. Shelli is a bitch. This HOH has showed how power hungry she is and the fact that no one respects this as her HOH makes it entertaining.

Van talked to Austin a little while ago. Austin is stunned, obviously. Clay and Shelli were also helping coach up Julia earlier, and now they are talking with Austin.
This season has been off the charts good when it comes to the social game play. And if this alliance sticks (which who knows if it will right now with Clay and Shelli), then Vanessa has done some serious work over the last couple of days and basically brought it all together.

Yeah, Austin can't stand Steve.
But if I were them, I'd leave Steve alone just because he really isn't a threat to anyone. There are far bigger threats to Austin and Vanessa's game right now than Steve. Steve's biggest problem is that he is annoying and socially awkward.
ETA: And Steve is a target that they might be able to get the other side of the house to go after and bye themselves another week if they lose HoH.

I was so excited cuz I like Vanessa and the twins together but telling Shelli and Clay was a huge mistake. So is working with them since they pretty much have alliances with most of the house. I don't trust them. I would have brought Austin in on it and have it be Vanessa, Austin and the twins. Between Austin and Vanessa they could have kept the twins safe till week 5. He convinced Shelli to put Meg up next to Da instead of Liz so he already saved her from the block this week.
I don't get why everybody is drinking the Shelli and Clay Kool-Aid. Why does everybody like them so much? I'm not a fan!

Yeah, that is why I said in an earlier post that it was a big gamble. They are basically talking with everyone else in the house, but then again, most everyone in this house seem to be talking game to just about everyone else to some extent. But Clay and Shelli did "form" and alliance with Jeff, John and Jackie last week.
I think Vanessa took the gamble because if it pays off, she will have someone who can gather real info from the other side of the house. Keep in mind that she is accustomed to making gambles because of her profession. It was a huge game move that if it works it will catapult her to the final 3 probably, or if it fails she just torpedoed her game. Sometimes you have to take high risk/high reward gambles if you are playing the type of game she has decided to play.
