I seriously doubt Austin would go for it, but in reality it would probably be in his best interest to get Julia out now if he can blame it on Steve so that he can ensure his final 2 with Liz.
But even if the Goblins could convince Austin to do it, I don't see JMac going along with it since he would be basically sacrificing his final 2 with Steve. I think if he was approached by it, he'd have to tell Steve that they are planning to backstab him. That would then give Steve all the ammo he would need to go after Austin. Like I said, it's at least worth a shot from the Goblins standpoint, but it ultimately is doomed to fail.
What I don't understand is James & Meg saying that if/when she goes, James should work with Austin. Why in the world would he think it was a good idea to work with someone who already has an alliance, and already has a final 2 with a showmance? That makes no sense.

It's because Meg might have the absolute worst instincts of anyone who has ever played Big Brother. Not only does she sabotage her own game, but she has consistently sabotaged and derailed the game of her entire alliance. She's the George Costanza of this season - every instinct she has is wrong.
Of course how great would that be for Austin? I can't remember a player who has fallen arse backwards into more people wanting to work with him (so I guess that makes him Kramer).

Well they have been working with Austin and the twins in the Brass Tacks alliance and they did keep Meg and James off the block for 2 weeks in a row. I was shocked that Austin didn't put them up last week.
Plus Austin really went to bat to get Johnny Mac out this week. Now thats in his best interest but he has said numerous times he likes James and Meg and would like to go far in the game with them.
The twins have discussed with each other how much Austin likes James and Meg and they don't like it.
I'm just glad they finally got the idea to approach Austin. I was saying they should be doing this before Julia officially was the renom.

So if Steve figures it is DE and he's going after Liztin then why not vote out julia on thursday? He is bound to piss them off anyway

Because he figures it is better to piss off Austin (or Liz depending on who goes) and Julia (who can't win comps), than it is to piss off Austin and Liz who can both win comps. It's better to have only one person after you, than it is to have two people after you.

The logic behind not voting out Julia is incredibly shortsighted. Unbreakable 3 has a member left on the block with 7 people left. You take them out and do damage control.

But in a double they don't really have time to figure out who flipped and if Austin or Liz won, I guarantee you they still target James and JMac.

If I were Vanessa, I would tell Steve and JMAc to vote out Julia and try to blame it on Austin. JMac could act like Austin came to him with the plan and said he was going to blame Steve. It would at least cause confusion and she could sit in the background.
