In my opinion, Steve and JMac are swing votes and if the other side of the house really wants to start playing and get in this game then they'll work hard to get these two in the fold...

Actually Shelli and Clay ended up taking the heat from the other side. After the veto ceremony Shelli and Clay made the mistake of trying to act like they didn't know she was going to put Jason up. They had to backtrack quickly because Vanessa was pretty open that it was a group decision. So Jason, James, Jackie, & Meg now think that Shelli and Clay are the ones that talked Vanessa into doing it (which isn't that far from the truth).
So Vanessa came out of it a lot cleaner than she should've. The other side now knows the alliance exists, but they think that Shelli & Clay are running it.

I feel like Shelli and Clay have had their hands in so many things in the house and have avoided getting blood on their hands due to their proxies doing all of the dirty work...
It's good to finally see some heat on them. Shelli went quiet after getting Day out but she was still very active behind the scenes.
I'm glad the house knows about the alliance. It's about time.. feels like they didn't even try to hide it.
