Exactly. Though I guess the only way one of them goes is if they're sitting next to each other, right?

Most likely. "Blindsiding" Nicole and Hayden with their votes for Zach staying is even dumber. They should at least tell them and have a little hope and time for damage control.

Last night was great.

And it was actually CALEB of all people who got into Derrick's ear about the numbers and how they have cannibalized people from their own alliance 3 out of the 4 weeks. That started Derrick's wheels turning and then the whole thing snowballed.

After it all settled, Frankie looked at Cody and said "How was CALEB the only one who saw this? How is CALEB the smart one??" Then Frankie and Cody cracked up laughing.

It was the first and only time Frankie made me genuinely laugh.

Derrick has always been really wary of Nicole for some reason and last night he decided that voting Zack out would just be getting rid of another number for the Detonators and give Nicole, Hayden and Donny a change to flip the house.

Plus, if Derrick and Cody haven't told the other people in the Detonators that they made a fake alliance with Nicole and Hayden, they are running the risk of Nicole or Hayden throwing that out to everyone.

I mean if I was Hayden (or Nicole), as soon as I realized I had been played, I would let everyone in the house right then (in front of all of them at once) what all was going on that week. I mean you might as well since you now know you are the #1 target regardless. At least if you put them on blast that Derrick, Cody, Frankie, and Christine were in the HoH the whole week plotting to get out Zach until the last day, then it might put some doubts in not only Zach's mind, but also in Caleb's since he was left out in the dark on the whole thing.

ETA: Nevermind, I just went to Jokers and caught back up, and it appears that Frankie let Zach in on it (except he told Zach that they were playing Nicole/Hayden the whole time).

Production controls this show with the questions they ask in DR. It either eases paranoia or creates more. Don't tell me they don't control this game.

Everything I've read/heard from former HG's says that production asks very simple, 5-7 word questions and the HG's create the paranoia on their own. Which I believe is very, very easy to do with nothing but time on your hands.

All say that production influenced the way they delivered their answer but never fed them the content of their answer.

They would easily have been busted by a loser if they outright rigged the game like so many people love to say on here.

I assume the Quiz Bowl laws are still in effect so I doubt shenanigans reach a level that would get them in trouble.

Do they ask pointed questions from time to time to steer people. I have no doubt about it or even a problem with it.

I still think with no phone, tv, radio, books or anything interesting to do, they spend all day thinking too much and second guessing strategy. The longer they last, the worse the paranoia gets.

For some reason this sudden 180 to keep Zach doesn't sit right with me. I don't know why because I really don't care about Nicole, and I like Hayden I guess (but he isn't my favorite player), and I like Zach being in the house. But for some reason, the fact that everyone was truly on board up until the day of the vote, and then suddenly decided to blind side Hayden and Nicole just rubs me the wrong way.

My problem is that it's the complete opposite of the game that Derrick has played so far. It just seems like a strange move for him.

Yeah, and I don't know why he is so worried about keeping the numbers. They've got to turn on each other sooner rather than later. Had they kept Hayden and Nicole close, Derrick and Cody would've had a leg up on the rest of their alliance when the time came to start taking out alliance members.

It makes sense from his perspective though. Voting out Zack would be getting rid of one of the Detonators numbers, he doesn't really trust Nicole and Hayden and theres the potential for those two to flip the house with Donny and get out Frankie and Christine next

But, at that point, he's sitting pretty between two alliances and neither one of them questions him if Zach goes home.

Not voting out Zack is about to make some noise. Nicole and Hayden will instantly know they were betrayed so that at least adds some blood in the house. The problem is....they lack numbers.

And that is why Hayden or Donny winning HoH for DE is paramount. They can take a good chunk out of the Detonators if they can get two of them out in one day.

From Jokers:

I wonder what the secret game is? DEs are usually live, right?

Yes. They usually do a luxury comp each year where they give them clothes, money, etc.

They have also done contests in the past where they give "special powers" to a houseguest. Usually happens when Pandora's Box is opened though.
