Everyone needs to remember that the jury didn't see everything you did. Yeah, they were butt hurt, but all they know is that he swore on the Bible to advance. Didn't know he convinced two people to throw the rope swing on the last HOH. That's why janelle said he was the greatest. She was able to watch everything....I think they consider swearing and lying (particular by a very religious person) a form of cheating. Shane didn't even know that Danielle and Dan didn't plan together to get him out until his vote was made.

Exactly why the other "non-spoiler" thread was anti Dan. At least they get to see the DR's, whereas the houseguest do not.
After sleeping on it, I think some of Dan's downfall was his approach to his speech/answering questions last night. The first question was for Ian, and Dan started in with the shaking of the head and tried to say something before he got cut off. At that point Ian knew it was on. If they let them give their speeches at the beginning of the Q&A he might have stood a better chance. That and he never really let them know that he was out the door, gone, vamoose, see-ya-bye, when Frank was HoH. At was at that point he had to make a decision, and he chose the destructive one to try and make it as far as he could.
Hell, Joe even said last night he was voting for Dan but changed his mind during the questioning.

How dumb is Dani for not seeing how obviously homosexual Shane is? He sounded like a huge tool last night. "Why's my question on a piece of paper and everyone else has a nice card..durrr"

I never liked the guy anyways, but he was just awful last night. Trying to be funny and what not. "Um, yeah Satan, I mean Dan, Dan...." get over yourself dude.
I wish I could be there when Dani and him start thumbing through the interwebz and realize how many dislike them.

Let me start by saying I am a huge Dan fan but let’s be honest. Dan was playing for second place from the beginning. There was no way the jury would have let him win it again. He would have not even made the jury if he did not play the way he did. I agree that he took it a little too far with the swearing and after the fact, I believe he does too.
Boogie said it best about Ian. He was very awkward and did not fit in at all. He overcame and grow up so much in this game to win and rightfully so. As someone else stated, being that Dan could not have won, he was the most deserving.
AS for Frank winning Fan Favorite, I agree that decision was not made by production until after Ian won.
Oh yea….and Shane is definitely a homo

Anyone watched the after party on the feeds? I would love to know what the hell happened with Jenn and her vote for Ian.
Jenn said in her after party interview that she voted for Ian cause "Dan had already won".

I agree with that and he stated as much from the beginning. Just said he wanted to make it there and thats it. Knew he never had a chance.

Well shite.. I honestly thought that wouldn't have been that big of factor but I was obviously wrong.
Good for Ian. It's not that he doesn't deserve it. Dan was just better.

Also, not necessarily on this board, but others I frequent, the sentiment early on was how this season was going to suck, etc., and it turned out to be one of the better ones. Good for Allison Grodner. A lot of buzz on the web this morning because of last night, and I cannot really say that for the last couple of seasons.
I guess I we get to do it again next summer!

I knocked on this kid for the first several weeks, but damn right after I did that kid came to play. Right after Dan uninterrupted Ian mid speech he had to know the money was his. I sure he doesn't feel like a Big Brother super fan anymore, this kid is a Big Brother Champion now.

And Brit said Dan wasn't winning against Danielle either. That the jury was determined to vote for a newbie over a vet.
One of Dan's biggest mistakes was sending Janelle home too soon. Having her in the jury house say over Frank might have helped Dan's end game.

Well they're assholes then.. Attention BB producers. Stop mixing vets with newbies. This is the bullshite you get.

I was saying that about Boogie too. You're right. He needed all the vets and Danielle. Brit would've voted with the other coaches I bet.

How about Dr. Will calling the winner in like the 2nd week

Yeah, if you remember, Dan wanted to keep Janelle and have the coaches form a 4 person alliance, but he was in the minority and had to roll with the group. Definitely one of his downfalls.

Ok so now that it's over I've come over to the other side and started reading up some of this thread. I've still got about 13 or 14 pages to catch up on but I do have a question about something I keep seeing. People keep talking about 'production' getting in the way, or telling players to do and say certain things, that Dan should get hired on to influence future houseguests, etc.
What proof is there that this actually goes on. I mean how do people KNOW that production members take players aside and say "hey, you need to do so and so or else" or make secret money deals with people, or give them veto chips to hide, etc. I guess I know that even this, the best reality show, probably isn't 100% completely "real", but I'm just wondering what proof there is that there is some behind the scenes shenanigans going on.

Read this entire tread and you will have a whole new prospective on this show. All the proof you need is in here.

When watching the feeds or AD, the HG's will mention something about production and immediately the camera will switch or cut to fish. A few times some stuff has fell through or went a little farther than expected and the convo is heard. <--Just one example. I have had a feeling for a while that they step in when needed.
The one example that I can think of off top: Jeff and Jordan were loved by America. Jeff was on his way out the door (first season they were on), when all of a sudden, we have this Diamond Veto or whatever the frick it was, that America gets to vote on. Well, low and behold Jeff wins it. Allison Grodner probably had a feeling ratings might drop if they left, so she kept them in. If you remember that was the season with Jessie, Natalie, Chima, basically a cast of dbags. ETA: Jessie was the one who got evicted by this power.
I am sure others can give better examples, but I have believed for a long time production steps in.
ETA: Jeff won the Coup d'Etat. Matty won the Diamond POV.

Dawg, I have always been curious about people watching but not following the feeds, or people who post updates on the feeds, watching AD, etc. What is your reasoning to JUST watch the show?
I ask because that is what makes BB so good to me. You get it all laid out, unedited. Not like Survivor where who knows what we don't see. Survivor likes to cast people certain ways, as BB does, but in BB you get to actually see how production likes to cast people one way on the show, when in reality they might ought to be shown a different way.
Another example I can think of relating to production stepping in: Please tell me how Frank won FF? Ian was a lock for that. My guess: Ian was walking out with $500,000, so they thought why give it to him. Lets give it to another liked, "poor" player who will walk away with nothing.

The best example would be Evel Dick, he was on his way out several times only for the other players to get pulled into DR and come out wanting to keep him.
