I think I have seen most of Hollie's press tour since leaving the show Thurs. She performed on Leno Friday night and Live with Kelly this morning which I DVR'd. She did "Bleeding Love" on Live with kelly which was really great.
Leno asked Hollie about what was wrong with Joshua and why was he crying his eyes out. She told him they were BEST FRIENDS and then told him to stop crying because she would be back in two weeks for the finale and then the tour.
Don't you agree now that it is just a nice friendship?
From the twitter conversation, looks like Joshua is missing her more. Good sign imo.

I am still following but with less intensity. I am somewhat interested still. The rumor is that Jessica Sanchez received around 47% of the total vote last week. The other three split the rest. That is crazy if true. Ledet is going to need every single Hollie vote. Phillip will need more people to come out for him. Apparently Hollie got beat down bad in the voting percentage totals last week :(
The theme this week is "Choice". Each contestant will sing 3 songs. The judges choose one. Jimmy chooses one. The contestants choose one.

You and me both. But it looks more and more like she will make it and that vote total I told you is probably near accurate. Her phone score on dial idol was pretty incredible this past week. She absolutely destroyed everyone during the west coast voting period. She was near even at the top during east coast and central time period voting but she just jumped out to a huge lead after west coast voting. I imagine she was strong as well with online and text votes. Phillip did very well with west coast voting last week also. Hollie did not. Joshua was about the same during all voting periods.
At this point, I'd put Jessica in the finals (reluctantly of course).
But I am not sure who to put up against her. Phillips numbers tailed off a little last week. Joshua has remained strong over all. Hollie's votes will determine who goes unless the teen girl vote comes back strong for Phillip.
I think this week sets up perfect for Phillip. I don't trust the judges to give him a good song but I think he will choose a great one for himself and jimmy will choose a great one. I look for him to have a strong week.
I think bebe is going to choose something terrible to sing but the judges and jimmy will each give her a good song. Maybe this week she won't dress like a Cambodian burlesque dancer.
I'm very interested to see what songs that they have in store for Joshua. He has remained the most consistent. He needs to have a very strong week to make the finals. Song choice will be key for him.
I want Joshua or Phillip to win this. I haven't been the biggest Phillip fan but last week, he made me give him some support. I was a huge fan of that second performance when he did Volcano. He would sell a lot of records doing stuff similar to that.
Joshua vs Bebe finale would be an epic vocal battle. Phillip vs bebe would be an interesting contrast in style finale battle.
I just don't see a way that it could possibly be a Phillips/Joshua finale.
Either way it goes, it will certainly be a lot different than the finale last year that was all country between Scotty and Lauren Alaina.

You keep thinking it's a friend thing, Bee. I also read an article in which she said she'd like to do a duet with Josh. :pimpim: Bet it would be so romantic!
I'm very afraid it's going to be a finale with Chez and P2. I'm fine with P2, but I don't think Josh is going to make the final even though I think he deserves to. I don't think he has enough voters even if he gets Hollie's voters.

You are probably right about josh still not making it even if he gets Hollie's votes. She apparently had a terrible week last week where it wasn't even close for her which is shocking a little to me. But I might be a little bit of a homer and slightly biased.

Hollie and Joshua doing a duet just would be too weird for such best friends to sing love songs together. It would make their friendship awkward.
She was probably joking about wanting to do a duet with him in that interview you are talking about. She likes to be sarcastic and joke in interviews. It's a cute English thing.

Yeah, it's hard to beat someone when they are taking both Texas and California by a huge percentage. I'd say Phillip has a shot if it is he that makes finals though. He will get huge support to take out bebe. Sanchez will be the favorite going into it though.
This just angers me though because she was "saved". I have never been a fan of the save. This isn't just this season because of bebe. I said before that I think it ruins the spirit of the show. Also throw in the judge antics and ridiculousness from that night, you have a recipe for angry viewers.
The save cheats the show a bit though. Especially if the save goes on to win. The save makes the judges become too much of a part of the show and process.
The judges this year were just atrocious with the bias and the openly rooting for certain contestants. They abused people they did not like with absolute unfair critiques.
Im hoping for next season that the save is totally thrown out and that we do not see the same exact panel of judges. Randy and jimmy can stay although Jimmy ticked me off the last few weeks also.
