Nuremberg: (Shockingly) still in theaters. (Minor spoilers)

I liked this one.
2.5 hours all about the lead up to the Nuremberg trials. Pretty much the focus on Goering.
Two main plots, one about the US getting the trial off the ground when everyone just wanted to “shoot them and be done with it.” Second was the Douglas Kelly angle and his time spent trying to advance his career by manipulating Goering, befriending him all just to write a book about the German high command.
Overall, it was well shot, paced, and acted. I do feel like Remi Malik is using this to get out of the Freddie Mercury shadow. He had a scene where the stakes weren’t really that high, but he sure tried to make you feel like they were.
I actually think Russell Crowe did a phenomenal job as Goering. Definitely spent a lot of time perfecting not only his German, and German-American accent, but being able to switch between them effortlessly.
The only plot point I hate is that they focused too much on the lead up, and not on the trial itself. It was a brief 20min set piece at the end and it only told one story.
Still, if you’re looking for a good film in theaters. This one is worth it…assuming you can find it

Why are there so many movies that focus on WW2 Germany?
