If there is one thing the MCU isn’t afraid to do is introduce new characters.
I do think we get a Norrin Radd
Ialso think Galaxtus will become a bigger villain long term so of course we can get a Norrin Radd

They are giving Norrin Radd's first appearance story to this brand new female Silver Surfer that is not an established comic books character and has been a "silver surfer" for fewer than 5 panels ever.
If they introduce a character named "Norrin Radd" in future movies, he will be Norrin Radd in name only. This character in this movie is, obviously, a gender swapped Norrin Radd with a different name.
ETA: "We have this new, established character from the comics! Her name is Kara Zor-El and she is from the planet Krypton and she landed in Kansas as a baby, was raised by conservative Christian farmers, and then grew up to become Superwoman! This totally isn't Clark Kent and totally isn't Superman and introducing Superman later with a different story totally wouldn't ruin everything about the character!"
No matter what you say, it doesn't work: they have ruined Norrin Radd with the direction they decided to take with this female "silver surfer."

I mean Dr Doom is also Iron Man, I think you’ll see some
alternate reality versions of characters and hopefully main universe versions as wrll

Dr Doom has always been a character in a metal suit. If this is a "Tony Stark" Dr Doom, I would have the same problem with it. I already am not a huge fan of bringing back RDJ for this, but we haven't seen enough about where they're going with that for me to have a strong opinion.
Just like with this one. I was okay with the female "silver surfer" until they announced she was going to be a gender swapped Norrin Radd with a different name.

You keep missing the fact that using his story for this character means Norrin Radd will never be able to be introduced using the same story. They have ruined Silver Surfer. Without major changes, it can't be fixed.

It's pretty obvious what the purpose is of the deflection. I don't know that I believe this will flop though. People really want this movie to be good.

Yeah because whining about the Surfer being played by Norrin's wife that takes place in an alternate universe isn't tiring. I wonder if this movie succeeds will either of y'all still be here. FWIW, if I placed bets I'd take you staying around over MK because he's either a troll or a complete moron.

At no point in the comic books has Norrin Radd's wife ever been the Silver Surfer (outside of one-off panels). This is a gender swapped Norrin Radd. They renamed the character solely so they could lie and say there was precedent for this character being female.
