Not mine, the character. He’s confident, he leads, he has gravitas. This character had none of that. Superman’s weaknesses aren’t him being unsure or emotional, it’s that being unshakably moral puts him into impossible situations that he can only overcome because he’s Superman which is why you can’t nerf his powers

Which ones? Which Superman is perfect?

Which Superman interpretation represents those things? What specific media.

I’m just genuinely curious because every Superman I’ve seen has flaws at some point.

Just gave you his flaws, why he’s relatable, why he’s idealistic and timeless.

Do you think intervening in the war because of his unshakable moral put him in a questionable position?

Yes, that is something which pops up a lot in DC and with him. You also had a clone to fight, a great villain to counter him in The Engineer and a pocket universe all Lex needed to do was close the door behind him to trap him with. There was no need to nerf him, that was done so that others would need to keep saving him

Do you agree that Reeves Superman fails at more of your description than Corenswet?

Because everyone talks about “The Superman”. Maybe there is one. I’d like to see what they’re talking about.

How do you mean? You’re going very specific for one then vague for the other. Don’t do this man

Just trying to keep it simple and ask one question at a time.

Reeves Superman had emotional weaknesses do you agree?

I think that the entire situation in part 2 was ridiculous. Giving up his powers, the fact that it was even possible to give them up was all idiotic.

And I never said he couldn’t be emotionally manipulated. I said the opposite. He’s emotionally immature and that’s not the same thing.

What about him risking the entire world to bring Louis back. Something his dad specifically told him not to do?

But yeah. Superman 2 took it to another level.

Either way, you agree that the Reeves Superman had issues. I just want to know which one doesn’t. Or what the best portrayal is.

Who manipulated him? Being emotionally manipulated seems emotionally weak to me.

Screaming at the sky turning back time? That’s not emotionally weak?

If someone threatens people you love with death that isn’t the same as getting defensive in an interview because you’re acting like a child. Just like threatening a world leader isn’t the same as preventing his military from killing people.

Yes, I agree that their issues are different. But they both have issues. Reeves had bigger ones. That’s the reality.

There is no perfect Superman. Yes, this one is a little bit more like a nerd Superman. Have you met his Kansas parents? Lol.

He gets an arguments with his girlfriend like I’m sure you never have lol. He got angry when someone stole his dog, which I’m sure you would never do. Reeves Superman didn’t have a dog, but if he did, and somebody stole him, I bet he would react the same way. The point is that Superman is not perfect. In any interpretation. And there are tons of cartoon versus Superman, where he gets an argument with Lois.
