The second one is a really good popcorn action movie. Always enjoyed Danny Glover.
But I don’t know if there is a better straight up kick arse action movie than the first one. One of my favorite movies ever.

The problem with the Predator IP is that the first is so good it’s impossible to ever match it. Like Jaws in a sense.

There’s a scene in there where Sterling K Brown accidentally kills himself in the stupidest way possible and I had a lot of people get mad at me in the theaters for laughing hysterically.

I do agree with that. I liked Predators well enough, but the biggest flaw with it was casting Adrien fricking Brody as some billy badass marine guy (or whatever he was). And he tried to make his voice all deep and scruffy too. It was hilarious.

It's arguable for sure. I've always said whether it's the "best" or not, it's pretty much a perfect movie. The cast, acting, setting, story, special effects, music, cinematography, etc...it's all perfect. And the movie itself is basically perfectly paced as well. They do a good job of setting the story up and showing us how badass these guys are, which only elevates how badass the Predator is since he's picking them off one by one like shooting fish in a barrel. It also sets up how impressive the showdown is between it and Arnold too. Just about as perfect of a movie as you can ask for honestly.

I will give this a chance. It might be good, lower budget, and I think they know what they have now. Will never make it big at the theaters.
Problem with the last Predator and just like Iron Man 3 is Shane Black. Dude is over rated.
And for some reason, Predator, like Alien, and the Matrix, and Terminator, is that the people making them now are out of touch with what people want. All of these franchises could be great if done right. People making them keep thinking bigger is better and putting so much woke in it that its just ridiculous. They are clueless.
I love the director of this. Guy is up and coming and loves genre film making.

Really? Never heard of any. Commanche women were very violent and once burned the nose off a young white girl they kidnaped. Their women were not hunters and warriors though as were virtually no other native American women.
