This movie will be good because Joaquin Phoenix is one of the better actors in recent times. He kills it almost every time

I think a TV series of Joker telling different versions of his origin to an Arkham doctor would be awesome. Maybe one of the stories he relates is true, maybe they all share a kernel of truth, or maybe he has no clue who he is or where he came from. I just want to see a deep character study expanding on Heath Ledger's "You know how i got these scars?"

That would be an awesome Netflix series. Every kernel of truth leads to to a dead end.

I still like to think that Ledger’s little speech about “truck load of soldiers” blows up is the true hint. That Joker was a in Iraq, lost a bunch of friends, and that’s where he lost it. It sent him crazy and he wanted revenge on the system in a Law Abiding System type of way.

I’m really interested to see how they include examples of social justice into the Joker’s character.

I agree. This sounds bad.

It's sounds like it'll be nothing more than some crazy person psycho drama.

This has been my complaint the entire time. It's nothing more than your standard guy goes crazy story with a Joker skin slapped on it to boost ticket sales.

Leto's Joker took from the comic books.

Not sure why this is a red flag for you people.

DC is all over the place..does this take place in the 70s?

So who was the Joker in the Suicide Squad if this Joker was middle-aged in 1970s? smdh

I think it's the 80s. This film has nothing to do with the dceu, so I'm not sure why you're asking about the SS.

I'm still trying to figure out why the hell nobody in the Batman '89 movie remembered Caesar Romero! fricking DC.

My question is, are they going to eventually tie this to the new Batman going forward?

No, it's a standalone film. Phoenix only signed on for one film.
