Netflix - Abducted in Plain Sight

Has anyone seen this documentary about a young girls abduction back in the 70s or so? It is really and truly one of the most shocking things I have seen. I don't know if I even have pity for the family and my pity for the girl even comes into question at points. I don't want to ruin or spoil anything so I will give people a chance to watch and maybe we can discuss some more in a couple of days.

It legitimately made me angry how stupid the girls parents were.
Her dad is a pussy for not just driving up to Wyoming (i think thats were the guy was the last time) and killing that MFer. Not a court in the land would have convicted him on that.

The dad was too busy having an affair with the guy, as was the mom, to even want to go and kill him. I think both just wanted to wait until he came back so they could continue fricking him. Sick sick parents.

It really is one of the best examples of the old "truth is stranger than fiction" line
That child's parents had to have been the dumbest motherfrickers on the planet. Or that dude was just THAT good at what he did. Probably a little bit of both.

So the suspect was banging the father AND the mother?
....and presumably raping their daughter. Did he kidnap her for another reason besides sexual gratification? ....maybe as collateral for the parents.

But I think he had already been molesting her with sleeping pills, but he came up with the whole alien "mission" so she would willingly have sex with him. And it worked. She was totally brainwashed.

Just WOW! The mom literally put her on a plane to Wyoming even after the first time he kidnapped her and the dad did nothing about it. After the 2nd kidnapping the phone taps between the mom and B were unreal. She sounded happy to hear from him.

I gathered Utah was full of mormons in positions of power at that time and just had weird norms...so stuff like child molestation, while not openly supported by Mormons, could easily slip through the cracks in such a sexually weird culture that could even support polygamists.

I actually think it was much more than just a handjob. The dad only admitted to one handjob in the interview. Of course he doesn't want to go on record admitting that he was doing more than that and doing it more than once. The tape that B recorded stated that he entered into a homosexual affair with the father. I don't think getting one handjob would lead him to say that. I think a lot more was going on and the dad is never going to admit it because he probably still denies that he is gay or bisexual.
