Preferably something available on netflix.

If it's been this long, sounds like it's in development hell. Hope it works out. I want a good ending to the series and see if Gold will take the CEO job after he promised his wife no more Hollywood or something like that.

I just started battlestar gallactica. I'm hooked. Shocked I didn't watch this show earlier.
You may want to checkout Sherlock and Sons of Anarchy if you haven't. The killing is another.

As for game of thrones, a lot of my friends watch it. Seems pretty good, just don't know if that time period and setting will hold my interest

And Game of Thrones which is not on Netflix obviously. The seasons are only 10 episodes so you should be able to knock a season out pretty quickly and decide if you like it or not.

I second Battlestar Gallactica.
Firefly is great and you can knock it out in a weekend and get right on into the miserable existence that so many of us suffer as we wonder how in the bloody frick that show got cancelled after just one fricking awesome season.
