Drama series if possible.

Mad Men
House of Cards
Longmire
Sherlock

Others I'd highly recommend with only 1 Season (or 2 short seasons) on Netflix:

Bloodline
Terriers
Daredevil
Black Mirror
Broadchurch
Happy Valley
The Fall

tried Narcos but it has too many subtitles

Understood, but might I suggest trying to tough it out. It really is a fascinating story. I thought Netflix did a good job managing the amount of subtitles/reading people have to do so that even people who aren't used to watching foreign tv/movies could still enjoy.

Peaky Blinders.

Really an incredible series. Drama, set in England after the first world war. Can't recommend it enough.

One show that doesn't get a lot of mentions but I thought was awesome is Rectify.

Sherlock - a modern day take on the story.

Black Mirror - It's kind of like a modern Twilight Zone. Each episode's story is separate. Many people find the first episode off-putting, though. Either push past it or skip it and come back to it. Netflix just ordered more episodes of it.

Friday Night Lights - Family/sports drama set in a fictional Texas town.

Love that show. I saw Lyla Garitty in Savannah a couple of weekends ago. I was standing on a corner waiting to cross when a girl walks up with her baseball cap pulled way down. She looks up at me and I can tell she recognized that I recognized her. The light turned green and we crossed. I tried to get my wife's attention on the DL, but she missed it. I wanted to yell "Clear eyes, full hearts!" but I chickened out.

Back on subject- Peeky Blinders and Bloodline are great, same with first season of House of Cards.

watched House of Cards? Heard good things about it as well.

It's talked up so much it makes The Wire seem underrated by comparison.
