Just re-watched it. I want to charge through a wall and start a fight with a grizzly bear. I forgot how great that movie was.

This movie is why Mrs. Wrench and I don't go to the theater much anymore. As a big hockey fan, I really wanted to see it. We went, and I slept through over half of it. I'm sure it got much better as it went on, but as I recall it starts really slow, introducing tons of characters. Lost interest.

Mrs. Wrench then had to endure a hockey movie 'by herself'...oops.

Not sure that speaks well of you if the only hockey movies you can enjoy are Slapstick and The Mighty Ducks.

Been a while since I saw it, but it was less of a 'hockey' movie than it was a story which had hockey as a backdrop.

Solid flick.

I've always said that hockey movies are the best of the sports movies. Off the top of my head you have: Mighty Ducks franchise, Slapshot, Mystery Alaska, Miracle, Goon, Rocket and Youngblood. That is a deep list of solid films.

Golf has essentially Tin Cup, Caddyshack, Greatest Game, Happy Gilmore, Bagger Vance and Bobby Jones. This is a close second.

All the others have a handful of good ones each.

baseball movies > golf and hockey movies

the sheer number of them overwhelms everything else.
