Not as crazy as it sounds. I've wavered back and forth on whether or not Dany is a distraction or not. If Jon turns out to be Azor Ahai, TPTWP - all Dany is is the mother of dragons. Sure will be nice to have those dragons, but AA and Lightbringer are the important pieces of the puzzle.

Well, Ace, according to 90 percent of people in this thread, my theory is shared by all GoT fans which makes me an idiot for posting it even though they won't admit that 90 percent of GoT fans believe Jon is Ice and Dany is Fire.
however, I do like one poster's theory that Lyanna is Ice and Rhaegar is Fire and it is their song being sung...which would by default make my theory correct as well.

I mean if you think about it, even beyond Jon, its has resonance - - they're relationship sparks everything that has followed both short term and long term.

Its nothing to do with just 2 individuals. They can be Ice and Fire, but other parts of the story are also a metaphor of ice and fire.

You'll discover in the series finale that this is Jon's story (or rather Lyanna and Rhaegar's story which by default makes it Jon's story) and the last shot of the series will be Jon sitting upon the Iron throne....alone.
