Stargate SG-1
The first 8 seasons or so are very good. Then it became mediocre, the last few seasons (plus movies) went downhill.
I think they had taken the original group about as far as they could go by then. It was a fun ride for awhile.

The Electric Dreams of Phillip K Dick covered several of the recurrent classic scifi themes - Big Brother, paranoia, entropy, fear of robots/machines, etc. Good series.

The Orville is like top shelf Star Trek: TNG. I would recommend any fans of TNG to give it a shot. I found it to be severely mismarketed. There's a few dick jokes here and there, but they really do a great job of making relevant social commentaries and tackling difficult issues through the planets they visit. It really watches like a love letter to TNG. Hopefully, season 3 will come out soon on Hulu.
As for an animated series, I would put "Rick & Morty" and "Futurama" on the list. While they're often satirical, they also pays tribute to some seriously high-minded scify concepts. "Gravity Falls" is a pretty fun one as well, though aimed more at kids.
Some other decent ones:
Dark Angel
Terminator: The Sara Connor Chronicles
Supernatural (more fantasy horror, but similar to X-Files in feel)
Eureka
The Librarians

I loved all the Stargate stuff, except Universe. Although I did a rewatch of that last year and it wasn't as bad as I remembered. Highly recommend adding SG1 and Atlantis to your list.
SG1 finished up the Ori story arc with half the Farscape crew chasing down Deadpool's girlfriend as the last remaining Ori in the Arc of Truth movie.

Netflix series "Dark"
That show still blows my mind. You'll have to read subtitles but damn was it great.
I wish more shows were like Dark, where they had a plan to write a story, wrote it, then ended it.
After watching it twice, the level of detail to that show is mind boggling.
