I would say it’s an awesome documentary if you are a casual. In that whole thing there was only about 4 new things I learned which was sort of worth it.
I like how the Montreal Screw job story changed. The story was always that Vince was waiting outside the shower room while Brett was showering and Brett said if your out there when I’m done I’m gonna beat your arse and when he got out he gave Vice a roundhouse. Now the story is that Brett and Vince went backstage to the locker room and immediately got into brawl and gave Vince an uppercut.
Well Netflix has recommended this American Gladiators Muscle and Mayhem documentary. On to the next rabbit hole.

I've got two episodes left and this has been great. The Attitude episode was awesome and really brought me back to that time period. The biggest takeaway was that all the crazy stuff that happened in the Attitude Era that would never happen or be accepted today is that wrestling was/is just a reflection of the times. Things were much different in the 1990's, edgy and out of control, no limits. It was a great time to live, and this doc brought me back right to it for about an hour.
Now look at WWE today and how correct and polished it is. Definitely a reflection of the times today. Not edgy, not pushing the envelope, not controversial, but it is still entertaining. Look at the crowds and the crowd reactions today and then watch an old episode of RAW. The 90's RAW crowd was on the verge of an out-of-control explosion every night. RAW crowd today is chanting and cheering like they are a part of the show, which they are, the WWE Universe.

This was an incredible documentary. I was never a wrestling fan, but I had a high school boyfriend who watched it so I watched it with him during the late 90s (the Rock and Stone Cold era).
I would love to see a scripted show based on this premise. The McMahon family dynamic is a mix between Succession and the Righteous Gemstones. Fascinating.

Vince is Baby Billy but with professional success as an adult.

That's pretty accurate.
