I'm convinced people only like it because they think they're supposed to
Um, I can appreciate the movie for what it is, especially considering the time it was made.

Having said that, the ending is like "what the frick?", and I could watch it once every 10 years and be good.

If you are really into the art of making films, it is worth the watch.

I'm all about auteurism and Kubrick is perhaps the finest. But that movie bored me to tears. If you need to pore over analytical essays and take an intensive film theory class to understand why it's a good film, then it's not really a good film.

IMO

I wouldn't say hate, but I don't love Anchorman like everyone does.

I like both X-Files movies. Yes, both of them. That's how much I loved that show

I don't think it's possible to HATE any of TLOTR movies. Not like as much as others, sure.

OP, what sort of comedies do you like?

I don't care much for comedies, to be honest.

I do like Dumb and Dumber, There's Something About Mary, Summer School, Meet the Parents, Borat, The Hangover, Friday... to name a few

Can't stand the LOTR trilogy, either, or that Harry Potter crap.

Damn it I was hoping you'd say A Serious Man is the only kind of comedy you could enjoy.
