Two that come to mind for me too.
The got comical as the franchise progressed.

To give a nod to a couple of musicals:
Grease - Grease 2
Rocky Horror - Shock Treatment

I actually think Caddyshack 2 is worth watching. Randy Quaid was great in it. But I do agree it doesn’t hold a candle to the first one.

Maybe not one that jumps to top of mind.
The Neverending Story - one of my favorite childhood movies
The Neverending Story II - literally unwatchable for me. Absolute mess.

Haven’t seen this mentioned, so may be unpopular, but I thought back to the future 3 compared to 1 and 2 was downright unwatchable.

Star Wars to The Rise of Skywalker was a pretty serious decline.

After Superman 1 and 2, the drop to Superman 3 with Richard Pryor is astonishing.

The original Superman series had quite a decline. 1/2 were awesome but there was a falling out afterwards with the Salkinds. 3/4 will always be special to me but they could have been a lot better from top to bottom.
Also Conan the barbarian was an epic masterpiece and the Destroyer was good but disjointed and a bit campy.

This is some lazy arse journalism. Go watch Caddyshack 2 again. It is hilarious.

Am I the only one who thinks Jaws 2 wasn't terrible?
I know it is inferior to the original but I thought it was a decent movie. It's definitely not in the same camp as Caddyshack 2 and some others posted here.
