Other than the accents, are they accurate? The Big Easy would get a yes vote.

I don't think that was set in New Orleans. I'm pretty sure it was suppose to be in the swamp.

It would be a far shorter list to name the movies that DON'T do this...

I've never just seen the St Aug band practicing in tne neutral grounds somewhere on a random day. But for the most part you are right.

Aside from the stupid accents, the other annoying thing about movies with even one scene in NOLA is when its Mardi Gras and they show parades in the Quarter and everyone is running around with those masks.

And a minor point, and one that holds for movies set in other cities, but like in The Client the show them driving into NO from Memphis across the Ms river bridge

I know it's not a movie but True Blood on HBO makes me laugh my arse off everytime they open their mouth. and at least you don't live in alabama and have My Cousin Vinny set in your state.

the are only certain things a bash NO for, and most of it is because people like you get so riled up when anything is criticized about the city . There is a lot i like about the city but it seems people like you feel you have to LOVE it no matter what.

The new Wolverine movie. The part with Gambit in the bar playing cards with Daniel Negreanu. I don't know what bar they were supposed to be in, but I want to find it that shite was nice.

The only problem I had with Deja Vu was when everyone was falling off the ferry into the water, the underwater shot is clear as a swimming pool and you can't see your hand in front of your face in the Mississippi River. I know it was for visual effects, but still bothered me. Other than that, I thought they did a good job.
