Keith Olbermann = Nasty piece of work. O' Riley is a POS, don't get me wrong, but Olbermann is just a ball of hate.

Thats how some people deflect criticism. They pretend all the others around them are stupid when its them looking through the rose colored glasses. The only correct opinion is the one they sponsor.

It's also just a terrible show. Their highlights are only like 30 second clips as apposed to the NFL network which will show you a couple of minutes worth of highlights per game.

American Beauty

what was cliche-laden and predictable?

1. People in the suburbs and behind the white picket fences are...surprise...not the picture perfect families they're made out to be.
2. Husband and wife hate each other
3. Cool, ungrateful daughter hates and despises both parents and what they represent
4. The happy-go-lucky gays
5. Military man of course is homophobic
6. Military man of course is abusive to his son
7. Military man is closet homosexual
8. His son is disaffected, hates him, and is a drug dealer.
8. Father of the family lusts after young, school girl slut.
9. School girl slut is surprise...a virgin.

I'm sure there are more, but I haven't seen it in years. Typical Hollywood "statement" movie.

No, not at all. You're missing the point. Because I didn't like the movie you told me to GTFO. That's why.

yeah, nevermind Gustavo Santaolalla's great score, the amazing cinematography, and Ledger's performance. Truly a terrible movie considering it was crafted masterfully at almost every filmmaking criteria.

This statement alone makes me feel like we really couldn't be best friends. What do you think about Die Hard? I love this movie.

If he likes Die Hard will you reevaluate whether or not he would be someone you could consider a friend?

What about me? I like Die Hard and Brokeback Mountain. WTF does that make me?

The answer is of course nothing, just a guy who likes movies. Both of those movies are good in their own way. JMO of course.

Die Hard is a good movie. Is it so impossible that I can also enjoy Brokeback as well?

Olbermann's best work has always been in the sports world. The fact that you would refuse to watch someone doing what they are best at because of something completely unrelated to the action they are performing is pretty fricking ignorant.

Sunday Night Football is about football. Olbermann doesn't bring politics into it. When he and Dan Patrick do the highlights, it's reminiscent of the old school Sports Center days--back when ESPN was still good. Maybe you don't remember those days, but I do.

And for what it's worth, I can't stand Olbermann's MSNBC show (or most of the shows on MSNBC, for that matter).

That's a valid reason not to watch the show, not because you disagree with what you think one of the hosts politics are.

Hell, I disagree with a lot of Dungy's politics and religious views, but I value his insight as an analyst.
