That might be the single saddest lyric in any song. Great song and the video is equally moving with the one band member (also in Genesis) visiting his father's grave. The band member has his little boy (probably no more than 5 or 6 years old) who probably never knew his grandfather with him visiting his grave. Everything about that song and video is
P.S. Youtube has the original video version of this song. The comments section is filled with tributes from people who have lost their fathers. Very moving to say the least.
