This one is weird. Liam Neeson had to be young, but I don't remember him in Dead Pool or The Dead Pool. That's the one with Carrey as a rock star? Has to be some other movie. It's an Eastwood Callahan movie I think

You got it with The Dead Pool. Neeson played the Director.

Nope, this was kind of a trick one because his part was small. His boss in the movie was played by R Lee Ermey so they weren't on even ground.

On Deadly Ground.

Honestly, IMO this is the movie where Steve Seagal threw his career away. Everything before it was “classic Seagal”. Arguably his best movie after, had him get killed 15 minutes in. And he really only had 3 watchable films (US2, Glimmer Man, Exit Wounds) otherwise post ODG.

That movie IMO just turned him into the joke he would become.

Just going by memory, but were Marvin and Akins both playing sailors in the US Navy in this movie?

Yes he was a crowd hustler and would canvas for inside info.

He also had a supporting role in The Getaway, then obvious Twister, before he launched to stardom.
