Someone posted the "Burn After Reading" scene with Brad Pitt, and I definitely agree.

I'll also add the theater scene from Inglorious Basterds. I didn't think Tarantino would go as far as he did.

An all-around difficult movie to watch, but fascinating nonetheless. Theresa Russell probably never looked better as well.

Strange Days -- The scene where Ralph Fiennes character watches the recorded virtual reality video of the girl being raped and it is jacked in so the girl is seeing and feeling herself being raped from the rapists point of view.

The end of The Mist is screwed up!

I'd put the ear cutting scene in Resevoir Dogs

The end of the season finale of Dexter season 4. Never been that stunned before from a tv show.

I was going to say the same thing.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

A few more shocking tv scenes:

End of Season 1 and 2 of Sons of Anarchy

Weeds season 1 ending

Spartacus ending but only because shows titled "Kill them all" or something similar, usually never deliver but that was the perfect title to the finale of season 1.

Movie scenes:

The last half hour of the departed

American History X - the face smash on the curb scene

Se7en - when the skinny guy jumped up out of the bed, the ending too

Usual Suspects ending

Saw - jigsaw getting off the floor in the 1st one. Also, finding out the kid was in the warehouse in a safe the whole time in the 2nd one.

Darth Vader flipping all our minds with one of the greatest and shocking lines ever in movie history!

Full Metal Jacket bathroom murder/suicide

SIXTH SENSE ENDING!!!

Misery - ankle breaking

Before the end of that episode, I kept wondering why I should be excited about season 5 then BOOM bathroom scene. Good call.

The most shocking scene ever for me was: In 'The Departed.'

Don't want to ruin it for those who have not seen it. But that 'moment' truly startled me. Great movie.
