The Middle is a poor man's Malcolm in the Middle. It has it's moments but it's mostly an unremarkable middle class trash family sitcom.

That's KINDa what I gathered. I just thought Brick's voice/manner was so funny. Now that you mention MITM though, they almost seem identical. I'm probably not gonna watch this show then now that I have that in my head.
