My SO and I went to see it...we laughed out loud a few times...but we were the only ones. Aaaandd we were a little tipsy, too.

I enjoy the Minions...I think they could just be up there with a white background doing Minion things like at the end of Dispicable Me and I'd have had a good time.

You know... I knew it wasn't dreamworks too. But I had them on my mind because I was looking for the next shrek when I came across the ice age film coming up. Fixed.

Gotcha. Computer animated movies seemed a sure thing for a while as Pixar and Dreamworks made bank with each movie. So we saw an influx of new animation movie studios. It's hard to keep them all straight. Some, such as the one that made Mars Needs Moms, went bankrupt already.

Fell asleep during some of it. Loved Despicable Me I, meh on II. This was boring as all get out. Very few laughs from the audience. Son enjoyed it somewhat, but definitely not one of his favorites.

We both liked the end though.

I took my two little ones. I didnt laugh for like the 1st 20 minutes. I actually fell asleep at one point. Yea, the minions are funny but the movie, no so much.

My kids loved it and watched for free on Kodi so it was a win-win for me and the wife.

This is strange. I have NEVER fallen asleep in a movie, but I fell asleep on Minions for a few minutes until my daughter woke me up.

It's 90% of the minions talking gibberish. All of the humor is in their reactions to silly situations. You can only get so much humor out of silly reactions.

There's no depth to the story.

I have to agree. Not near as good as Despicable Me 1 & 2. Both of those where layered enough to appeal to adults at least a little.

My little guy liked it. I thought it was fine for what it was. I just wish that Disney or any other company would come out with some hand drawn animation.
