It premiered at the Chinese theater and they actually turned the entrance into Castle Grayskull.

#MastersOfTheUniverse’s shaggy charms worked on me. A colossally epic time. Has a GOTG-style, self-aware tone & a radical message at its core. Nicholas Galitzine & Camila Mendes nailed it. @DANIELPEMBERTON’s rock score (w/ assist by Brian May) hits so good. Stay thru the credits!

director Travis Knight has a genuine reverence for all the incarnations of the He-Man character the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE action figures, animated & cinematic iterations. Easter Eggs are incorporated with craft & care. I got a little misty at 1 point.

Still waiting for word of mouth

Aren't the early reviews typically the paid for reviews?

These are the people who were invited to the premiere at the Chinese theater, so most of the main critics who live in LA would be included.

I watched the John Campea video on the Mandalorian issues, and he said none of the companies (Disney/WB/Paramount) ever pressured him to make a review one way or the other. Just for what it's worth I guess.

Remember too that these same people were invited to the Mando screening and most of that was "mixed" to bad. These look mostly good

This might be bad

Damn it

Next to Blade, there is no easier homerun than He-man.

Male power fantasy

Hot Teela, hot Sorceress, and hot Evil Lynn

It is really hard to frick this up

assuming you agree with the "radical messaging" and "interesting takes on masculinity"

These are giant, flashing red flags

I hope it is all nonsense. But I am more pessimistic about it right now, than I have ever been

Why would I agree with that it just looks fun and it’s hard to judge this one in particular without seeing it

LA females loving it and saying it has crazy takes on masculinity is a red flag for sure
