It's not released in other countries first like Star Trek. Of course there will be less reviews.

Early Buzz is Good
Not full on reviews, but people dancing around the embargo seem to really like it.

If you are interested in this movie I think it's safe to assume you saw The Dark Knight trilogy. All 3 movies were littered w/ goofy one liners and cheesy dialogue. It didn't make the movies any less great imo.

The difference is in the cast. Anyone involved in the Dark Knight trilogy could raise shitty dialogue through their delivery. After watching some of the TV spots I'm not sure that's the case here, especially with Cavill. However, I'm obviously using a very small sample size so I'm withholding judgment. I've been super excited for this movie so they better nail it.

Everyone that has seen it has raved about it. Including Jimmy Fallon this week. Fwiw

Maybe they are trying to prevent spoilers and pirates
given that there have been about 93 trailers, I think we've already seen the whole film so I don't think spoilers are a problem.

Henry Cavill said he actually had to beg the studio like a mofo to show it to him again because it was so good. Take that FWIW.

I also just saw a gif set that leads me to believe that this is going to have good dialogue and good acting. I won't post it here because it's kind big on the spoiler side and this thread is not tagged with spoilers.

lol wut?

other than William Fichtner as the bank manager the entire opening of The Dark Knight is loaded with horrible acting. Every single one of the the idiot henchmen have awful lines and read them as poorly as possible.

Well if Cavill and Fallon liked it, it has to be good.

I've had friends view it. They liked it but it's not for fans of the old-school Superman comics.

And good job there, genius. Way to ignore the obvious fact that I was referring to the main cast, not a few henchmen who die at the very beginning of the movie.

I think it was completely fair to bring up the crappy henchmen actors at the start of TDK because the post you responded to by illuminatic was responding to a complaint by xenythx about the policewoman calling Superman hot.

I see you missed the part where I specifically said my main worry centered around Cavill, who seems to play a pretty big role in the film...

no, I didn't miss it.

I was simply noting that there is plenty of arse acting in TDK.

and if you really want to talk main characters...

Katie Holmes stunk and Maggie Gyllenhaal wasn't much better as Rachel Dawes.

Bale often sounds like an idiot with his Batman voice and by the third movie is speaking in it for no legitimate reason. The gravelly bit is fine but the lisp that gets worse and worse is laughable.

GJL and his entire "I knew you were Batman from the look on your face" moment in TDKR was cringe inducing cheese at its worst.

Bale and Caine have an argument that lets us know Alfred is leaving in the in the very next scene we get a befuddled Bruce who is wondering where the hell his butler went.

We go from "WHERE IS SHE???" in TDK to "WHERE IS IT???" in TDKR. Yea, keep screaming at dudes who have shown they have no fear of you whatsoever.

pretty much all of Talia is a dull waste of time. She even gives us a cliche last breath before death moment.

"His speed! His strength! His ferocity!" Oh thanks Alfred. I didn't know were gearing up for UFC.

Don't get me wrong, I like the 3 Nolan Batman movies but they are far from perfect films and are loaded with moments that could/should have been improved.

Long past that, a few people on IMDB (who claimed to have been apart of the press screenings) are posting everything.

You can laugh, and normally even I wouldn't go by what a tard on IMDB says, but based on everything these people are posting, they're either writers who wrote their own epic MoS story, or they watched the movie. I tend to think they're legit.

I don't understand why some of you even watch movies. Better yet, movies based on comic books.

reviews are embargoed until late Monday

I was told to prepare to come out of your seat at the end. You won't see it coming, and its next to impossible to think what it could be.

i am one of the biggest superman fans ever, but i fear there might be some cheey scenes. and the nolan batman triology had a lot of cheesy moments for all their good goosebump inducing scenes.
