The impending Don vs. Ted battle should be great. Peggy's role in it will play a large part in the outcome. I loved the subtle chess match between them in this episode. Don with the alcohol and Ted trying to keep up. Then, Ted in the plane and Don trying to act like he isn't terrified by pulling out that book.

Don didn't want to lose Sylvia because she was his whore who didn't talk much and who he could do what he wanted to and then they leave.

Not really if you've been seeing his flashbacks. His mom brought him to a whore house to live and she was getting it from the BIL. He just wants sex with a beautiful woman and not to have to talk. Sylvia was like going into the rooms of the whore house he was used to as a kid. frick, then leave. No need for small talk. The scene with Megan was perfect at the end.

Honestly, I thought for sure that's what they would close with. What they did close with was appropriate though.
