I've always liked his character.
Ken Cosgrove is one of the handful of reasons I bought LA Noire when it came out.
And while Don is a dick, I loved him calling Peggy and Ted out. Somebody needed to.
I also wonder if Duck knowing Bob is a sham is going to creep back up at some point. With Don, Pete was the only one professionally who knew he was a sham (maybe Cooper as well but was willing to put that aside for the success Don brought to the firm). But Duck knowing seems like it could blow up bigtime on Pete if Pete decides to go the "it's between you and me and you'll do what I say" route. Just a thought.
Vulture had a great recap too. I really enjoyed the notes at the bottom with some predictions and what not.

How can you hate Glen. He has been the only person that poor Sally can depend on.

Dammit Weiner.

Anyone else thrown off when it appeared Sally was going to be hazed for a whole evening by the boarding school girls...and then they were all just best friends in the next scene? I thought they were going to torment her and such.

My bad, I guess I have access to so many of those sites I saw that headline like 5 times last week.

They cut the first scene with her telling them that she could get them anything that they wanted. I think the missing piece is the girls telling Sally they wanted booze and weed and possibly boys, which Sally quickly delivered.

I think it was showing how quickly she can turn a bad situation around. Sally is, after all, D-Drizzle's daughter.

This would make sense then. She does get people what they want, just like her old man

There was one point where she flashed a Don Draper "I got this" look towards the older girl.

That was a great episode...
Don't know why I liked it so much - maybe because Don in a strange way was finally likeable again...and brought something to the agency. Don is at his best when he's money in the office as well as with the women.
I like that he's drinking in the morning now - makes all this drinking on the show seem less cartoonish and more real now. Somebody (Megan) for the first time EVER in the history of the show - actually told a massive boozer to slow down on the booze. Finally this generation needs to start making some excuses for their behavior - until now everything was acceptable...womanizing, boozing, carousing, pretending to be someone you're not - well, for Betty and Sally - smoking is cool and Pete realizes - imposters are whatever room they are standing in.
The show is losing it's protective sheen - and that's a good thing. Best season.

Pretty sure a couple of people got on Fred Rumsen (the dude that pissed himself) for it.

You may all envy me.
I have never watched the show until about the last 6 episodes.
Hooked now. And Netflix. I have about 60 episodes that are "new" to me. They are up for my viewing pleasure.
Are there any "weak" seasons? Like Sopranos season 3 where they go off on some tangents?

Season 5 was the weakest IMO.

I checked my Netflix queue and I started 4/19...I got hooked quickly and flew through them. It's a fun ride to this point. It's amazing to see how much Sally changes and grows. She's damn near an adult now, but was a little chubby girl at first. Enjoy!

yeah, it's one thing to crush some bourbon with your feet up on the desk in a nice suit and another to be drinking right when you wake up in your pajamas.

Great episode. Love the shot of Don to close the episode in the same fetal position he was in when we saw him in Sally's bed
Re-watched it last night, don't know how I didn't catch this the first time.
He has lost the respect of his daughter and protege, both of whom were miniature versions of him.

It'll be interesting to see how/where they leave Don's character at the end of this next episode. I think he'll be in pretty bad shape...and will he rebound by the start of next season?

Is this where we are discussing the most recent episode?
