Dealing with some real issues.

Slots are one reason the Louisiana tracks are surviving...

New York is getting in on it.

Ky, however, is dying

Slots are a big issue in Maryland. They have them in West Virginia and Delaware.

Time for me to hit the rack. I have my annual physical tomorrow (I'm 2 years overdue) and I can't eat anything or drink anything but water come midnight, about an hour. I should probably not smoke either. Night, Aspy!

Anyone got a link to a synopsis? I was kind of half paying attention. Will probably have to rewatch but it seems to have great potential.

Lost some good studs to ny this year.

Maybe they'll get off their asses, but I doubt it.

Louisiana hasAMAZING breeders incentives too.

Ky is falling way behind.

As long as you have the politicians outside of Jefferson Co. (because everyone in the city of Louisville wants it) wanting to publicly take the moral high road when it comes to slots, it won't happen. The purses will keep getting smaller and people will go elsewhere.

Churchill even put restriction on shippers to Hoosier and Indiana because they were losing too much...

Only Indiana breds don't get hassled.

River downs just got slot approved, so that hurts an already failing turfway. I thing 5 claimers run for 3 grand or so there?

5 claimers open run for at least 9,500 here, la breds even more.

Keeneland is safe, but that's not really an option for the everyday business of most horse people. Plus they run on that plastic shite that sets up like turf and shin bucks horses like crazy.

Slot machines at the racetrack.

Slot revenue boosts the purses for the races, which increases entries. Horseman make more money, track makes more money...

Everybody is happy

My home state of ky is against the gambling...

Therefore money that should stay in the state goes to neighboring states where casinos are legal.

If people are gonna lose their money, might as well keep it in the state.
