You clearly do. You have one way of voicing your approval, and it costs $7.99.

No dumbass. I don't approve of the drug use of several of my favorite musicians but I don't let that get in the way of me liking their music.

Sarah Silverman is still an aspiring comedian.

Yeah, one of the most famous female comics alive is still "aspiring." You are constantly making up shite in this thread.

Misdemeanor at best. No charges pressed, no problem.

So, a misdemeanor for what exactly? Just because you find someone's behavior to be disgusting does not mean a crime was committed.

quote:

What the hell do you not understand? Reprehensible behavior and he deserves to lose fans over it

It's you that doesn't understand. I and others don't find his behavior to be reprehensible to a degree that he should be blacklisted. I don't think the behavior is acceptable in a work environment, which did happen, but that's between him and the people he worked with.

I always felt like Louis got a bad rap.

There was literally an expose written about him and all they could come up with is that he asks women if he can jerk off in front of them? They didn't even present any evidence that he went out and ruined anyone's career after they said no.

The end result being they ruined his career and deprived people of one of the better stand up comedians on earth through almost every major outlet.

It’s pretty easy to amuse a simpleton.

Drug use is often referred to as a victimless crime

Lighten up

Another poster brought up the borderline misdemeanor, take it up with him.

Blacklisted by one person, me, get over it.

It got squashed because he was the talent and they were not. Which is precisely why he did it, and has admitted as much.

Kinda like someone who disparages pee pee jokes - then immediately complements someone for a pee pee joke.

He’s been sold on cancel culture already man. The facts of the situation are irrelevant and have been constantly ignored when provided. He’s a low information dude committed to being holier than thou.

Why am I not allowed to have a position on this? You are trying to cancel my cancel culture by saying your opinion is better than mine. I have said in nearly every post that is not my intention of convincing anyone that THEY stop watching his material.

All the info I needed came directly out of Louis’ mouth. He took advantage of women in a disgusting manner.

Well I don't consider anyone who sticks around to see a guy jerk off as a "victim" either.

About what? You claimed he took advantage of aspiring comics. Sarah Silverman doesn't fit your claim and you are living in fantasy land if you think otherwise. Go ahead and google "famous female comedians" and see for yourself. An aspiring female comedian won't be in the first few results of that.

So you share his opinion but have no explanation to why. Got it.

It got squashed because he was the talent and they were not. Which is precisely why he did it, and has admitted as much.

That doesn't hold true with Sarah Silverman, which destroys your theory. It was a weird fetish that he had and he did it with a variety of people - friends and colleagues.

SUB - I’m sorry for taking this so far. I’ll stop.

Sarah Silverman is not funny though.

Never said you weren’t allowed to have an opinion. But just because you’re allowed to have your opinion, doesnt mean myself and others cant discuss and laugh at how poorly formed your opinion is.

throughout this thread you have been citing non-factual claims, its not me canceling your cancel culture to correct some of the nonsense you have spewed.

Plenty of people in this thread have said that what he did was weird and aggressive, but sexual acts between consenting adults is not against the law. If any laws were broken he'd be in jail.

That being said, I find his stand-up funny, but would still decline his offer to jerk off in front of me.

I agree. But neither of our individual opinions determine how successful a comedian is.
