i thought it was six seasons.
I have no clue... But now that I am done, I can start looking into all of the shite.
I was just going by what a buddy told me.
All I have to say is, there are a lot of fricking questions to answer in just 2 or 3 seasons

I read on a board somewhere, may have been a different thread here, that when you see an overhead shot of the island, it will explain a lot of things.

Yep. That has been said, but nothing yet. I thought we have have seen it when they were on the chopper, but no such luck.

Hope they do the normal 22 episode seasons then and not the 14 episodes

Not the case.
Seasons 4,5, and 6 were supposed to be 16 episodes each. Last year was cut to 14 b/c of the strike, so the next two will be 17 each I believe.

Who said it....
Also, Ive read about who Jacob is.... Supposedly the writers said "he was not in any episodes before Locke met him the first time"
I had the suspicion that it was the black guy that kept showing up at the clinics

Not sure, but he did a fantastic job putting it together. After time travel was introduced a lot of my questions got answered. Like Ben's mother being on the island and Richard looking the same age when Ben sees him as a child.
Electromagnetism being the reason a boat is in the middle of the island. I never connected that until I read the write up. Duh.....makes perfect sense.
The points about losing paralysis and cancer via time travel is interesting as well. They are stuck in 1996 on the island. The way Widmore got rich, and how Libby's husband died are both intriguing as well.
And this right here.....
quote:
If you go back in time and die, you are not “totally” dead because there has already been a variation of the universe where you were alive in the future. Thus, you become “half dead” until time catches back up. In other words, your presence may be known to some people but not others. Your presence would only be known when you are required to make an impact to fate.
Could explain how Locke died IMO FWIW............
quote:
That, my friends, brings us back to the theme of LOST – did fate cause the plane crash, or had DHARMA staged certain “characters” to ultimately “lead” our heroes to the island… OR was it some combination of both fate and the work of DHARMA?
Fan-freaking-tastic
I really think this series end with everyone on 815 dead, at the bottom of the Ocean like we've seen before. Everyone thinks it is a set up, but it is really them dead from a plane crash. They were supposed to die, and fate will see to it that this happens. But maybe not....maybe Widmore staged it. Who knows

The Q&A portion is also fantastic. This guy certainly seems to know wtf is going on with Lost. I'd venture to say he's only half right about the stuff though.

I read the whole timeline and was thinking WTF.... Where in the shows was half of that info given or eluded to
Maybe I wasnt paying enough attention

Well a lot of it comes from a little critical thinking I guess. Everything going on is connected in some way. They may not say it directly on the show, but you can put it together. Do you have any examples? b/c when I read through it I didn't have the feeling that he was pulling a lot of this stuff from nowhere.
Maybe some of the stuff he mentions you just forgot about. I watched every single episode in the span of about a month. So all of them are pretty fresh on my mind. If you've been watching the show for years things might have been pushed out of your mind since time has gone by.

We just finished season 3, and when starting season 4, I mistakenly put the second disk (starting with episode #4) in. We watched the 4th and 5th episodes and were like 'WTF?!' before we realized I screwed up... Funny thing is that we were going along with it just saying, "Hey, it's Lost."

That timeline was pretty damn interesting. What other sites out there give insight into some of the theories???

If you listen to podcasts then:
Official Lost Podcast with the producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse
Jay and Jack-can be a little annoying but they do a good job of recapping and pointing out easter eggs
The Transmission-A couple living in Hawaii gives recap and what is going on the sets

Something that he doesn't really cover......
The whole Adam and Even thing. Who are they? I know it has been said that these two dead bodies will show that the writers had an ending in mind from the begining and didn't just make it up as they went.
I think it will be Jack and Kate.
Remember the two stones that they found with one of the bodies (the black and white ones). Pay attention in the next season to see if Jack has that when he goes back to the island. If he does, then it will be he and Kate that are Adam and Eve.
