It's all ok, Winslow. You're Brewster and I'm his rich, dead uncle. When I got here, I had to learn it on my own, nobody helped me out in that closet with those goddamn cigars.

Donkey Kong was inspired by what movie?

A racist man would say something by Tyler Perry here, but I'll go with, "Juwanna Man"

Speaking of Donkey Kong:

Horrible Bosses - character inspired by Billy Mitchell.

"When he put those prosthetics on, he literally changed," he continued. "I'd also shown him a doc I did, The King of Kong, and there's a guy in the movie who's got this amazing hair, and who walks with a cockiness that's frozen in time from the '80s. I think that really informs the posturing that Bobby does."

Amazing hair? Surefire cockiness? Gordon could only be talking about one man: Billy Mitchell, the former Donkey Kong champion of the world and one of the main subjects of Gordon's documentary.

"Billy Mitchell," Gordon confirmed, admitting that he'd consider Farrell to portray Mitchell in New Line's upcoming feature adaptation of The King of Kong. "I think [Farrell] brought such fun to that role. That definitely occurred to me, watching that."

I don't know how a feature film could be better than that true life doc?

"Cast Away" Excellent performance by Tom Hanks but a pretty boring movie due to Chuck/Hank's lengthy isolation on the island. Perhaps, the writer's for LOST thought, good scenario but we can make it a hellava lot more interesting with more characters and make it a scifi/fantasy.

Or....

A dramatic/fantasy Gilligan's Island. Obviously, Jack = the doctor, Shannon = Ginger, MaryAnn = Kate, Gilligan = Sawyer, The Captain = Hugo, Mr. Howell = John Locke (yes, it's a stretch hehe), Mrs. Howell = oh well

I've seen the Lost Horizon movie twice. They restored all but some bits & pieces of it. During a couple of scenes they show stills or a window on the plane.

Loved the book when I read it and always thought I'd grow up to be a Conrad type character IRL.

Lost was inspired by Surivor. ABC executive Lloyd Braun wanted to make a drama series inspired by the reality show.
