I specifically came to this thread to interject this.

I think Juliette was my favorite female character. She reminds me a lot of my wife (too old for you kids) in a lot of ways. She was also very hot to me.
Yeah, Juliet is hot in that weird sort of way. You don’t know what it is about her, but something just does it for you. And outside of Demond and Penny, I do think Sawyer and Juliet had the best relationship in the show. It just makes sense that those two would fall in love even if it’s not obvious at first.

if you are watching LOST for the first time with this in mind, you should just turn it off and watch some ESPN.
Going into any show with disappointment in your head is just pointless
I think there's a big difference between watching it as it aired versus binging today. When it aired, there were massive threads on each episode with speculation on what was going on and where everything was headed. You had a week or more between episodes to analyze everything, and I do mean everything. Things became important to the viewers that weren't important to the creators (or didn't get resolved to many people's satisfaction).
If you're binging, then you're probably running through multiple episodes a day or week and don't dwell on the details. You'll get caught up in the mystery but will forget the details as you move to the next one. Much easier to be satisfied that way. I think this is why so many shows become popular a decade later when they hit streaming/binging. You don't sit on the details for weeks or years at a time and just move on to the next thing.
My advice to someone who is watching for the first time is to enjoy the ride. Decent mysteries and twists along with GOAT character studies. And I'm saying this as someone who was 99% satisfied with the original show and ending.

Binging on first season with only 3 episodes left.
Did abc run this once a week?
26 episode in 1 season is alot.

Bump
Just finished the series last night. I had never seen a single episode before the wife and I binged it this month.
Somehow the show had not been spoiled for us. I guess we live under rocks. We were both aware of its existence, just never watched it.
We enjoyed the entire series and the ending was satisfying enough for me. They pretty much spell it out for you. There are a few questions that maybe are left unanswered as some of you have already posted, but I still feel satisfied with the show as a whole.
I can see doing a rewatch in the future.

think Desmonds story and character was one of my favorites. He was so important to the story line though his character doesn't get the credit it deserves.
He was an amazing character and vital to the storyline.
Desmond was my favorite, too, brother. I hadn't seen the actor in anything else until I was looking around on Youtube for something and saw him playing Jesus in a movie about John's Gospel.
