I thought they referred to it negatively saying that we wouldn't get a scene like that in LOST.
Oh good. I was just going from what STLSU was posting about in the other thread.
Yeah, I copied and pasted two summaries of it, and they weren't clear on that point. I heard the podcast too. They were using that scene to compare it to the rules, and saying there would not be a scene like that, but that the rules you need to know about will be revealed through the scenes themselves.

its the scene from Ab Aeterno, where they tell Jack they are candidates to replace Jacob.
i havent seen anything from the writers, but from everything we have seen from the show so far, it is pretty much a given.
Illana tells Sun about it, Sun tells Jack that
Jacob tells MIB that if he kills him, there will be someone to take his place

Is anyone else concerned that tonight's episode will end up creating further questions? I know that is just part of Lost, I am just hoping that any new questions will be insignificant.

Well, we all assume some more questions will arise from tonight, but...as long as they are answered by the finale, and there are no major questions brought up by the finale, then I'm good.

For some reason I am worried that they won't answer how Jacob, MIB, and Co. originally got to the island, just how they got involved in the candidate/smoke thing.

I'm not ready for tonight's show yet. Also, I am in the camp that most of the questions will be answered, and wondering how a movie would spin off of the ending. I see the ending as probably going to have maybe too much closure. Does anyone know if there are tentative movie plans?
Posted on 5/11/10 at 9:31 am to STLSU
Based on what I've read, I highly doubt they want any kind of spin-off, movie or tv show.

Dont know if this has been brought up yet, but why does my cable box tell me that the title of this episode is "Whine Country"?

I hope this week isn't as depressing as last week.

Don't know if this is considered a SPOILER. So I'm putting SPOILER up in BIG LETTERS and then SCROLLING DOWN BEFORE TYPING THE REST.
I've read that there may be some regulars featured in moments from earlier in the series. Don't know anything specific, but the way I took it was that it would show Smokey's perspective of things that happened to the castaways.

I did see the 2 sneak peaks that Stu linked to on youtube, with 2 clips of about 50 seconds and 30 seconds, I think.

If this episode were 4-6 weeks ago, this thread would be at 30 pages by now.
What's the deal? Is everyone just in the "wait and see" mode, or just don't want to jinx it?
Have most of you read so many spoilers that you can't remember what was a spoiler and what was your original idea?
Why no major discussions going on?

Everyone is just waiting, too excited/nervous/educated to really have any debate.
I'm going to be in NYC during the finale and have some friends up there that I'm going to watch it with. I just found out that the apartment we're watching it at is being transformed into the hatch and everyone is dressing up as a character. I'm thinking of going as Charlie because I look somewhat like him already. Anyone have any other suggestions?

That's a tough costume party to pull off. With the exception of Smokie, everyone is just a regular person, so no one will be able to tell who is who. You could wear a fat suit (maybe you don't need it

Go as him dressed as a hobbit.
